........ Ajakurama Development Forum, community Mourns
By EgbemaVoice,
Ajakurama development forum, (ADF), Worldwide, National president Mingo Meshach Saya Ogumaka, has mourned late Chief Authority Aye aka Otonlor, who passed on, at about 12: 40 pm, 29th, Jan 2023, at Ajakurama town, the traditional headquarters of Egbema kingdom, Ovia south west local Government Area of Edo state,
Chief Authority Aye was a renowned youth leader who is one of the young Chief in Egbema kingdom over eighteen (15) years as brave traditional Title chief, He had been determined to become a vibrant leader since his childhood, he was a grassroots youth leader, a businessman,
I remember his youthful age as teenage then, he was a playful, friendly and wrestler, immediately he came back from one of the Ajakurama communities with his parents, if any of his peer group called him Sokoye, he will fight the person, he was one of the vibrant Ijaw wrestler, (Olotu Ander), in Ajakurama town, Egbema kingdom, he is my uncle (Yabe), he was caring uncle, It is unbelievable that you are gone to rest,
Uncle chief Authority Aye was also a dedicated husband to his beautiful wife, Auntie keke, my church member, as co - choir's in celestial church of Christ, Ajakurama parish at then, Their relationship seemed so perfect and they made marriage look so effortless, before I left village to town, he got married to another two wives to make it three wives,
Moreover, he was such a handsome man, stainless, most dressed young man at his time, he and his wife really looked good together.
To be totally honest, I didn’t quite understand what is going on in Ajakurama town, over this shocking Unbelievable, heartbreaking, disorganized and confusion news, till my Mobilization officer comrade Adani Aticoman posted the White funeral casket package his remains, youths was lightening candles turning round the casket, music was playing, uncontrollably tears continue rushing out of my eyes, it gives me sleepless night, cried throughout in my night,
Authority Aye, your dead double my thinking, how can we bear this again, for the past 20 year's plus we are still mourning Late Ogbe Takubun, late Ebidinwei Ipiteikumoh, late kotowei Ogunyinbo, Late Raphael Pere, late Ebidouwei Okoro, late commander Jaja Beggi, late Victor Owowo, Late Otori Ejemi and other's, now you have increased our mourning,
Unfortunately, death suddenly snatched you away from us, Everything feels like a nightmare to me and I vividly remember when my younger brother called me to said Authority is death for just a brief headache pain, It’s so heartbreaking that I never got the opportunity to tell you goodbye.
A man with an endless passion for everything he did and a mind as sharp as a chef’s knife, he did everything on his own and never let himself plunge into a pit of despondence no matter the circumstances. He had a strange fascination with freestyle of life, but having said that, he never lived by numbers but by life’s special moments
Uncle Authority also had a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with him. He would make some of the silliest jokes that forced me to laugh or smile even when I was going through some of the toughest times. We could actually spend long hours conversing about both meaningful and meaningless things.
Authority Aye also loved socializing with people. He was such a selfless man who touched so many lives. He was very attentive and would listen to everyone’s problems and offer solutions to them with his little. Fortunately, he was remarkably Vocal, intelligent and filled with wisdom, so his wife, siblings, and friends could always count on him.
He also enjoyed music and dancing. Late King Robert Ebizimo, the Nume Pere I, was his favorite Ijaw artist and I can’t forget how sad he was when this legendary musician King Robert passed on in July 2016. He mastered the lyrics of most of the late historical Owgiri songs and would display his funny but cute dance moves whenever an opportunity presented itself. My uncle Authority also loved fashion and he was always well dressed whenever he wasn’t wearing his traditional attires,
I was hoping to see him, whenever visit home as God have crowned a new king in our kingdom, Because since after the remembrance celebration of His Royal Majesty Late Isaac A Thikan, The Bini Pere, Agadagba of Egbema kingdom, some group of people petition us, for name Isaac A Thikan, the third in my publication, but late they failed, that's when we had a long talk last, but offer visited him whenever go home, I still feel like I didn’t tell him how much I loved him enough.
Uncle Authority will forever remain in our memories, He might be gone, but his legacy lives on in the many lives he affected, especially mine. It’s unfortunate he won’t be with us again, but I promise to make him proud wherever he is.
I know that even though he's gone, he's still there with us,
Though it would be impossible to describe his larger than life persona in a few words, I do feel the need to try and say something about him since yesterday that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I have a ton of sweet memories about him, and I could go on telling his tales for days. But I know that would only cover an ounce of his life and it would still be an imperfect explanation of someone I loved so much.
I know that even though he’s gone, he is still there with us, in the leaves of the trees that he planted, in the fruits that bloom in full swing in the season, in the shade of the enormous Guava tree that we all so dearly love. And I hope to live life the best I can, following his principles, friendly, playful and teachings that will be treasured by many generations in our community to come.
Thank you all for taking the time to pay your condolences to our beloved departed soul.
May he rest in peace.
