Oborevwori celebrates Archbishop Odutemu at 52 ,

Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Archbishop of Bendel Province of Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev'd Cyril Odutemu, on his 52nd birth anniversary.  Governor Oborevwori, in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, described Odutemu, the immediate past Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, as an extraordinary administrator and dynamic and fearless preacher of God's word.  He remarked that the renowned cleric had changed lives of individuals, families and society for the better, through his impactful and life-changing teachings.  The Governor, said: "On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I extend my congratulations to a distinguished Deltan, a man of unquestionable integrity and uncommon humility, Most Rev'd Cyril Odiboroghene Odutemu, on his 52nd birth anniversary."  He praised Odutemu for using his powerful intellect,

DSIEC refutes fake electoral timetable

By EgbemaVoice, The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC, Wednesday, debunked the alleged notice of election timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 Local Government Council elections in the state.  Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Jerry Agbaike in a statement made available to journalists said the purported document was a fake public notice and did not emanate from the Commission.  He said that the Commission was yet to fix a date for the election and would communicate to the general public once a date is fixed.  The Statement reads: "The attention of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, has been drawn to a document containing the outlines of a 'proposed public notice of election timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 Local Government Council General Elections' purportedly issued by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission.  "The fake "public notice" which has gone viral on numerous s

Latest Consolidated Salary Increase For Some Categories Of Workers Not Same As New Minimum Wage

Before you start to mis-inform others, the latest 25% - 35% increase in salary of workers in the public service, research institutes, intelligence, military, police, para-military workers is NOT same as new minimum wage but just an increment for civil servants on the remaining six consolidated salary structures, namely; • Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure, • Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure   • Consolidated Police Salary Structure, • Consolidated Para-military Salary Structure, • Consolidated Intelligence Community Salary Structure,  • Consolidated Armed Forces Salary Structure.” Note that New minimum wage has not been announced yet, it will soon be declared to improved on this latest increment  What this means is that 35% of the current minimum wage of N30,000 is N10,500. Sheriff Oborevwori, Tuesday, said his administration remained stoically committed to the timely payment of pension benefits to retiring and retired personnel of the state's workforce.  Governor Oborevwori, who stated this at the swearing-in and inauguration of three new Special Advisers, Chairmen and members of boards in Asaba, urged the State Bureau for Pensions to be proactive in the discharge of its functions, and to promptly advise the government appropriately.  Those sworn-in as Special Advisers are Mr. Austin Ayemidejor, Mr. Sunny Jero and Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa.
