Ijaw, Urhobo Leaders Applaud INEC Over Warri Federal Constituency Delineation Exercise,

By Egbemavoice  Leaders and stakeholders of the Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities from Warri North, Warri South and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State have applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the release of the Warri Federal Constituency delineation exercise results. The leaders gathered at KFT Event Centre in Warri, Delta State, during a press conference held yesterday, following years of deliberations, protests and agitations surrounding the delineation process. Speaking on behalf of the Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities, Chief Benjamin Okumagba commended INEC for what he described as a bold and commendable step towards ensuring fair political representation in the Warri Federal Constituency. According to the result published, the exercise produced nine wards for the Urhobo ethnic group, eight for the Itsekiri, and three for the Ijaw in Warri South. The vessel, identified as Augustina, was reportedly intercepted while sailing from the Pennington River axis with suspected illegally refined crude oil onboard sailing to an unknown destination for offload.
