Arrest Evasion: Police Detain Ex-Gov Bello’s Female ADC, Others,

By EgbemaVoice, The aide-de-camp (ADC) to former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, has been arrested and detained by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The arrest of the female Police officer occurred alongside several other policemen attached to the embattled former governor. The officers were taken into custody on suspicion of aiding and abetting Bello’s escape from EFCC operatives, who besieged his Abuja home for his arrest on Wednesday. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct and possible breaches of the law by the former governor. Details surrounding the case remained sketchy, but authorities have stated they were conducting a thorough investigation to determine the extent of the officers’ involvement in the governor’s escape. By EgbemaVoice, Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has visited Okuama with an assurance for the safe return of the indigenes who fled the community in the wake of the crisis of their safe return.  The Governor who was accompanied by some government officials, reiterated that innocent citizens would not be made to suffer for what they know nothing about.  Recall that 17 officers and soldiers were killed in Okuama community on the 14th of March, 2024. Sheriff Oborevwori has commiserated with the Onyeobi family and people of Asaba over the passing of the Iyase of Asaba, Chief Patrick Onyeobi.  The late Onyeobi who passed on at 90 was a former Secretary to Government and Head of the Civil Service of the defunct Bendel State.  Until his passing, he was the Diokpa of Idumuojei village, Umuezei Quarters, Asaba.  In the condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori expressed sadness over the passing of Onyeobi.  The Governor in the statement said; "the passing of Chief Patrick Onyeobi is a big blow to his family, Idumuojei village, the people of Asaba and Delta State, considering his immense contributions to the traditional institution in the state capital".  He described the late Onyeobi as a "fine gentleman, model administrator and community leader with impeccable leadership qualities" who contributed to the g
