TEAM EGBEMA FEMALE YOUTH MOVEMENT ADVOCATES GREATER WOMEN PARTICIPATION IN LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE

The Director of Team Egbema Female Youth Movement, Miss Vivian Donyabi, has called on women across Egbema Kingdom and beyond to actively participate in leadership, governance, and community development, stressing that women remain critical stakeholders in building a progressive and inclusive society.
Speaking during an address to members, leaders, and supporters of the movement, Miss Donyabi commended the resilience, dedication, and commitment of women towards societal growth and political development. She noted that women's contributions to leadership, decision-making, and nation-building are indispensable and must be encouraged at all levels.
According to her, women possess the capacity to influence positive change, shape policies, and contribute meaningfully to governance when provided with equal opportunities and representation.
She emphasized that the vision of Team Egbema Female Youth Movement is to build a democratic, inclusive, and progressive society where every citizen has equal opportunities to contribute to leadership, governance, and community development.
The Director highlighted the movement's core values of Unity, Equality, Integrity, Accountability, and Service, describing them as the foundation upon which the organization seeks to promote sustainable development and social progress.
Miss Donyabi further stated that the mission of the movement is to empower women through education, leadership development, advocacy, and active political participation while promoting equal representation in governance and society.
She outlined the objectives of the organization to include encouraging women to participate in political activities, developing leadership skills among women and girls, advocating for gender equality, supporting women seeking leadership positions, promoting civic responsibility, and building networks that strengthen women's political influence.
The Director urged women to believe in their leadership potential, participate actively in political discussions and decision-making processes, mentor younger women, attend leadership and community development programs, and speak confidently on issues affecting society.
She also called on women to promote peace, unity, and positive change within their communities while refusing to allow discrimination, fear, or societal barriers to hinder their aspirations.
"Women have the power to shape policies, influence positive change, and build stronger communities. Their participation in politics and leadership is not only important but necessary for achieving a balanced and progressive society," she stated.
Miss Donyabi expressed appreciation to members and supporters of the movement for their dedication and contributions, urging them to remain steadfast in advancing the cause of women empowerment and community development.
