By EgbemaVoice The Warri Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has passed a vote of no confidence on Mr Churchill Oyowe, Chairman of the Delta State Council of NUJ, citing breaches of the Union's Constitution ahead of the forthcoming election. The Chapel's emergency Congress expressed grave concern over Oyowe's "unconstitutional actions" and "conduct inconsistent with the provisions of the NUJ Constitution 2023 (Amended)". Members alleged Oyowe unilaterally delisted members from the voters list, contravening Article 3:3(g) of the Constitution. The Congress also noted Oyowe's disregard for democratic principles, running the administration as his "personal estate", and ignoring advice from the Acting State Secretary.
