The Chapel's emergency Congress expressed grave concern over Oyowe's "unconstitutional actions" and "conduct inconsistent with the provisions of the NUJ Constitution 2023 (Amended)". Members alleged Oyowe unilaterally delisted members from the voters list, contravening Article 3:3(g) of the Constitution. The Congress also noted Oyowe's disregard for democratic principles, running the administration as his "personal estate", and ignoring advice from the Acting State Secretary.
