The Court of Appeal in CA/ABJ/CV/454/2022: Incorporated Trustees, Nigeria Bar Association v AGF and 2 Ors in its judgment struck down Regulations 126 and 127 of the Police Force Regulations that empowers the Police Force to terminate the services of an unmarried Police woman who gets pregnant while in service. The Court of Appeal declared the provisions null and void and accordingly struck them down on the ground of being unconstitutional. At the today’s proceedings the Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division coram J.O.K. Oborevwori mourns as Ex-Minister, Gbagi, dies at 62 ,

Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed his heart-felt condolences to the family of former Minister of Education (State), Chief Kenneth Gbagi, who passed on May 4.  Gbagi a senior lawyer, businessman, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in the 2023 general election and industrialist, passed on at 62, after a brief illness.  In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described the passing of Gbagi as tragic, unfortunate and heart-wrenching.  He commiserated with the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area and Oginibo community, in particular, over the demise of the renowned politician and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain.  He noted that the departed Gbagi, a Criminologist, entrepreneur and lawyer, was Chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, and, later, Minister of Education (State) during President Goodluck Jonathan's administration.  Oborevwori sai

By EgbemaVoice, The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the last election in Delta State, Olorogun Barr Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, FNIM OON, is dead. Gbagi, a former minister of Education and an industrialist died at the age of 62. The Renowned Criminologist and senior lawyer died on Saturday May 4th 2024.
