The Chairman of the Reform Mosogar Elites Forum, Dr Anthony Agboma Visits College of Education, Mosogar regarding the protests by some Indegenuous Staffs.
Dr Agboma who was accompanied by Comr Morgan Akpologun, and others visits the School to know the reasons behind the protests and take necessary measures to tackle the issue.
One of the Staffs, Mr Festus Apuma who was involved in the protests brief the Chairman, the reasons for the protests, according to him, he said he was suspended unlawfully by the Provost, Dr Israel Imide, he also pointed that the Provost his always issueiis a threat of Sacks to him and other indegene from Mosogar Kingdom.
The Chairman of the Non Academic Staffs Union, Mr Friday Dedekimo also expressed a dissatisfactory statement regarding the Provost, which is inhumane and lackadaisical towards the indigenous staffs, he also brief the Chairman of how he (Friday) and Festus was arrested to the police station by the Provost using Mr Vincent Akpobome, a member of a disciplinary committee set up by the Provost.
Mr Dedekimo also made it clear that the Provost do not work with the school policies of suspension, which ranges from Verbal/Oral warning, followed by written suspension for some months with half salary before indefinite suspension without pay, but in the Case of Mr Festus Apuma he was issued a Suspension without pay directly.
They also noted that, the Provost, Dr Imide has stopped the allowance of so many due to the autonomy given to the school by state Government whereas leaving all his allowances running, he said even the policies he brought, the Staffs was not addressed.
Dr Agboma, Chairman of MEF, advise them to remain calm, as he put a call to the Provost and arrange to meet with him soon.
