Give yourself some "Me Time"

Reads.......
Me time isn't just spending time on your own… It's about being present with yourself; mind and body. Me Time is the conscious effort of taking (much-needed) time out to recharge your batteries. Me time can be spent in a range of ways and can vary from person to person.

Do you know the importance of me time”

I would say No………..Because you are constantly thinking about work, your family, your future and so on……….Actually, you are always busy proving yourself in front of everyone and you forget about the most important one is yourself.

If you are happy then only you can make others happy and you can prove yourself but if you are just caught up in your task 24/7 then you will lose yourself.

Whether you agree or not but our mind and body both are connected and for them to work properly then they need to be in a similar zone of relaxation. You are not a robot who can’t take a rest so take a deep breath and sit down. Let your mind run its own course. Think of everything and nothing at the same time.

Reflections will help you plan better. At least, it will help you grasp your life better. Where are you heading and why.

I am generally an irritable person, me-time is always a great blessing for me. Me-time has also made more open-minded, reflective, calm, and tolerant.

It will absolutely improve your life and the lives of those around you. It is not a selfish act. We must set aside time to ourselves to unload the heavy burdens we carry along with us, and pick up along the way.

Think of it like a balloon. It can only fit so much air in it before it pops. Once it has reached its limit, you must empty that balloon a bit, before putting more air in it. Otherwise, it blows up. Me-time, as you put it, is a necessary component in life for us to, not only take care of ourselves but have space and energy within ourselves, to take care of those around us.

Now the question is how do I spend my “me time”?

1- I just sit on the side of the road/park and watch cars go by……..watch people walk by. Observe without talking to any of them. For me, it’s quite relaxing……..Why don’t you try and let me know your feedback……….

2- Lie down on the grass and feel the grass. Watch the sky clouds forming the shape. Then the sunsets and the sunrises. Oh, they are pretty and never the same.

3- Like making wonderful teas and infusions. All self-made. Sometimes make coffees and fruit sorbets and funky juices… experiment and find people to try my experiments.

4- Try making healthy foodstuff.

5- Organize your room/workspace

6- Run, do Yoga, and exercise. Do what you like among them and you will find yourself calm and will love them it will recharge you completely.

6- Walk around the lanes where U grew up, and go to restaurants U love. I love eating alone in my ‘me time’ why don’t you go and try it for yourself.

7- Snuggle up in winter in soft blankets and watch TV.

8 - Take your parents out to explore new restaurants or movie

9- Playing with your children/nephew/niece

10-Lets sing, dance and listen to some songs

11-Love reading books yeah then go for it

12-Enjoy the view-Morning/Evening

13- Think and overthink about your current crush/dream. And then write about it.

14- Treks, beaches, short trips alone.

15-Get to know yourself

You’re the most valuable asset, and what’s an asset that doesn’t know what all it can be used for? So, in the ‘me time, try sitting down and writing down answers to these questions and some more that you have to make by yourself and answer them with utmost honesty:

What exactly do I want?

Why do I want it?

Who all are the toxic people in my life?

If I know they’re toxic, why am I not kicking them out of my life?

What is it that I’m scared of?

Why has the fear gotten stuck in my head?

What are my likes/dislikes/preferences?

What kind of a person do I want to be?

What all can I do to become the person I’m wishing to become?

You may cry or get overwhelmed by the things you’ll write if you’re truly honest about improving yourself and making productive use of ‘me time’, so trust yourself and love yourself, especially in these moments of vulnerability when you’re being honest not with others, but with yourself first

Sometimes, I find myself an introvert in many ways. I don’t mind being people but most times I feel social interactions are tiring me more. I want alone time for me.

Try by yourself and then let me know your feedback. You will see the positive changes in you.

Most importantly do you know why I am writing here for me it’s relaxing I can share my views of my present and past.

I started…………………… What you are waiting for.

Egbema PDP Advocacy Group Condemns Warri North Itsekiri Political Leaders' Attempt to Exclude Ijaws in Political Position Sharing

Egbema PDP Advocacy Group Condemns Warri North Itsekiri Political Leaders' Attempt to Exclude Ijaws in Political Position Sharing ......Advises Gov Oborevwori to halt process in the interest of peace, stability and Justice As a PDP group of Ijaw extraction in Warri North Local Government Area, we are vehemently opposed to the nomination of an Itsekiri, Mr. Festus Asima, as the PDP flag-bearer for Warri North Local Government Area Council in respect of the forthcoming election. It is an insult for only Itsekiri Political Leaders to sit and decide for the Ijaws without their input and consent.  With this so-called nomination, the three key positions of Chairman of Council, Member of the Delta State House of Assembly and the member of the State Executive Council (Commissioner), means power in Warri North is now effectively and exclusively with the Itsekiri, contrary to the statutory Federal Character Principle; and it would also complete the exclusion of the Egbema Ijaws o
