HRH. Pere John Ajube, the Pere of Ijaw nation in diaspora, Lagos State, presented a crown of honour to HRM. Amb. Meshack E.A. Ubabiri (JP), The Bini Pere IV, Agadagba of Egbema kingdom.
This royal honour was accorded Agadagba on the 14th of April, 2023 as His Royal Majesty played host to the Pere of Ijaws in diaspora, Lagos State. The royal visit was crucial because the Agadagba of Egbema kingdom is maternally from Arogbo kingdom as the Ijaws in Diaspora, Lagos State chapter currently have an Arogbo illustrious son as their Pere, hence they deemed it necessary to give the Agadagba this royal honour. This visit also offered them the opportunity to brief the Agadagba of Egbema kingdom about the activities of the Ijaws in Lagos state.
According to High Chief Olu Jerry (The Amanawei of Epe, Lagos State), other kingdoms in Ijaw nation have been occupying the throne of the Pere of Diaspora Ijaws in Lagos State but this dispensation, Arogbo kingdom has gotten the nod to have her illustrious son, HRH. Pere John Ajube as the most paramount Ijaw leader in Lagos state on the throne as the Diaspora Pere of the Ijaw nation in the state.
In the entourage of the Diaspora Ijaws Pere of Lagos State are: High Chief Olu Jerry (The Amanawei of Epe, Lagos State), High Chief Aya Abraka (The Pere Atoro of Bayelsa State- The person sitting at the left hand side of the king) from Bayelsa, High Chief Abilogun Lawrence of Egbema kingdom- The Otumba of Lagos State and the person sitting at the right hand side of the king.
