Egbema Youth Political Forum, (EGYPF), Ovia south west, / North East , Warri North, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo and Delta states, has stormed Benin City to held a general meeting, at New City event center,
The Egbema youths across the four local Government Areas of Ovia south west, North East, Ikpoba-Okha and Warri North of Edo and Delta states drawing attention to new issues and sway potentially long-held opinions meeting, at Edo state capital, Benin City, the Youths deliberated issues that deeply and politically affecting the Egbema kingdom , demanding more additional polling units and state wards and federal wards, completion of Udo Ofunama Roads,
The group national president Barrister Ebigbagha Stephen welcome all sons and daughters of Egbema kingdom to the meeting, reassurance of unity and peaceful coexisting of the kingdom,
The Youths generally registered their displeasure over the NDDC abandonment road project, which is from Udo to Ofunama Road project, and sidelines Egbema sons and daughters for sensitive political appointment,
The group said, Egbema kingdom, the most populous kingdom, one of the oldest Ijaw kingdom in southern Nigeria, is grappling with a significant challenge, no accessible road, no hospital, no higher institution, no police station, no electricity since the creation of Nigeria, only Egbema kingdom road was abandoned by Edo state and federal Government for the past decades, youth unemployment. The term “youth” refers to individuals between the ages of 15 and 35 years old, and this segment of the population in Egbema comprises a substantial portion in Egbema workforce.
Unfortunately, many young Egbema Youths find themselves without gainful employment despite their resources, host to many multinational oil companies, their energy and potential.
According to the National President Barrister Baidi said, the unemployment rate stands at an alarming 34%. in Edo state, lack of polling units to vote, no sensitive political appointment for Egbema sons and daughters, in Edo state Government,
This situation not only highlights the magnitude of the problem but also raises concerns about its long-term consequences for economic growth and social stability in Egbema kingdom,
Numerous factors contribute to this unfortunate situation of sidelines Edo state Ijaws, the Ijaw people suffering like third class citizens in the world , after the creation of Edo state, ethnic nationalities politics surface, sentiment and bias leadership in Edo State Government house, the Ijaw people was kicked out in Political space, the traditional council and stakeholders of Edo South senatorial district, surface tribalism, whereby Ijaws was sidelines, thank God, His excellency Godwin Obaseki administration display equity and fairness, by allowed Egbema Ijaws to produce vice chairperson, Ovia south west local Government Area of Edo state,
There is calculated arrangement to disorganized Egbema people by scattered Egbema people into four local Government Areas, whereby none of this four local Government council headquarters any of the Egbema community, stated,
