As the 2023 electioneering political drum beasts hots up, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State continue to gain more grounds, leaving the opposition parties in shambles, bowing consistently to PDP's political supremacy.

The party's LGA to LGA campaign train anchored in Warri South at the Warri Township Stadium and Uvwie LGA at Urhobo College, Effurun on Thursday 22nd December. It was indeed a double barreled political carnival by all standards.

Both venues were filled to capacity, very colourful as party members and supporters came out in sparkling PDP green, white and read colours amidst Itsekiri and Urhobo culture displays.

The political podium was moderated by the State Party Chairman, Okakuro Barr Kingsley Esiso. The Mammoth crowd roared when he invited the incoming Vice President of Nigeria and governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, to come on stage.

Governor Okowa assured Nigerians that the Atiku-Okowa presidency will ensure that the Petroleum Industry Act is enforced, as well as provision on host communities funds, noting that the nation's economy was in pitiable comatose as a result of the bad governance of APC in the past seven years and counting.

He urged Deltans and Nigerians to vote PDP in the forthcoming general elections to enable him and his boss, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to reset and rebuild Nigeria through policies and programmes that would focus on economic recovery, reforms, security, restructuring, state police, education, health and all sectors mismanaged by APC national government.

In the same vein, Former governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan said PDP is again united for victory and urged those still aggrieved to give up litigations and join hands with leaders and supporters to work for the landslide victory of all candidates of PDP in 2023.

Governorship candidate, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, gave a good account of himself as he danced to the party's campaign star music, "After Okowa nah Sheriff."

Incoming first lady of Delta State, Mrs Tobore Oborevwori was beside her heartthrob swinging to solid ballads and acknowledged cheers from the Mammoth crowd.

Oborevwori emphasized the need to vote 6/6 for PDP candidates, from national to state in Warri South which also parade two State Constituency candidates; bringing total number of candidates on the race to six.

He said his M.O.R.E agenda was deliberately crafted to ensure smooth continuity of good governance, noting that incumbent governor, Senator Okowa has achieved so much for the state in all sectors, and that he shall advance Delta beyond 2023 through; meaningful development, opportunity for all Deltans, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security.

Oborevwori urged all eligible voters in the state to vote massively for PDP, saying that a vote for Atiku Abubakar is equally a vote for governor Okowa. He stressed the need for eligible voters who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Cards, PVC, so so without further delay.

He said PDP candidates victories can only be achieved through PVCs which is required for both voters accreditation and actual voting on election days..

The Uvwie LGA campaign was a super rally. Rt Hon Evelyn Oboro, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata and other leaders of the local government gave good account of themselves. The mobilization was huge, solid and satisfactory.

Incoming Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa commended the leaders of Warri South and Uvwie LGAs for their political sagacity and uncommon leadership skills, as can be seen from the political volcanic eruption that engulfed the two State constituencies for PDP.

It was a spectacular day for PDP family and supporters. The political harvest and solid groove shall be remembered for a very long time in Warri South and Uvwie LGAs.

The LGA to LGA PDP campaign train will hit the roads again after Christmas celebrations and slow down for new year holiday.

The final mega rally shall take place on the 6th day of February 2023, in Ika North East LGA, Delta State.
