Reads full statement,
The apex youth body in Egbema Kingdom, the Egbema Youth Council (EYC) congratulates Hon. Dennis IDAHOSA on his well deserved victory at the polls.
President of the prestigious youth organization Comrade City Kelvin Eferusuoa in a statement said that Idahosa's victory is a divine mandate arranged by God through the people of Ovia constituency. The results showed that the people of Ovia region prefer Hon. Dennis IDAHOSA to other candidates. This is particularly important because of the performance of our dynamic honourable time past in governance.
However, our riverine communities are under-developed and are yearning for electricity, passable roads, drinkable water, markets, and healthcare facilities and equipment.
Comrade Ekpokeme Governor and Comrade Michael Ejemi, the Secretary and Spokesman respectively of the Egbema Youth Council (EYC), added that the major challenge of the people of Egbema Kingdom is the impassable and deplorable Udo-Ofunama road that leads to the riverine communities in Ovia South West local government area. We are drawing the attention of the government at all levels to make moves and give us a motorable road. This road is our major concern, hence the need for government to provide the dividends of democracy cannot be overstated.
We are a hundred percent available and ready to work with the APC Government to provide security and allow the Government to freely work in our terrains. Please accept our warm congratulations on your victory and our best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office.
As you embark upon your new responsibilities, we wish to assure you of the continued friendship of the Ijaws in Ovia constituency.
We look forward to working with you not only to develop closer relations between our constituents but also to concert our efforts in the cause of peace and prosperity for all people.
Once again, congratulations on your well deserved victory as the representative of the Ovia Federal Constituency.
SIGNED:
Comrade City Kelvin Eferusuoa, President Egbema Youth Council.
Comrade Ekpokeme Governor, General Secretary Egbema Youth Council.
Comrade Michael Ejemi, Public Relations Officer Egbema Youth Council.
