The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor has donated the sum of N500,000 towards the completion of Mama Moses Ohiolebo Oisakede's home project at Otuo in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Announcing the donation, Coordinator of the home project, Comrade Reuben Izeze quoted Guwor to have said he was motivated by the antecedents of the late Oisakede who died while he was an undergraduate.
The Speaker who recently bagged a first class degree in Law from Benson Idahosa University, Benin said he was pleased to identify with the worthy cause of building a home for the mother of the late students leader who passed on over 25 years ago.
Izeze who is Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads) in Delta State, said: "We are pleased to announce the generous receipt of N500,000 from the Rt. Honourable Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, The Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.
"Mr. Speaker said he was motivated to contribute to this worthy cause because as an undergraduate as at the time Comrade Oisakede died, he could empathise with the plight of the aged mother.
"On behalf of the committee we thank Speaker Guwor for identifying and contributing generously to this great initiative.
"As at today, the project has reached advanced stage of completion, we thank all our donors and we look forward to the formal handover to Mama Oisakede." Izeze stated.
