Oborevwori salutes Chief Godwin Ogbetuo at 93,

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Friday, congratulated elder statesman, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo on his 93rd birth anniversary.  

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the Governor lauded Ogbetuo for his avowed commitment to the struggle for good governance and accountability in the state and country. 

He prayed that God would produce more leaders in Delta and Nigeria's political and socioeconomic spheres who would follow Ogbetuo's example, describing the nonagenerian as a leader who embodies statesmanship and selflessness. 

Oborevwori said: "On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate our father and leader, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo, on his 93rd birth anniversary. 

“As a renowned elder statesman and patriot, your selfless commitment to humanity has greatly aided Delta State's and Nigeria's development and stability. 

“As former chairman of the Delta Elders and Leaders Forum, you served with extraordinary insight and unwavering bravery, and you played a significant role in my ascent to the position of governor. 

"We owe you a tremendous deal of gratitude because of your active participation in Delta State's political evolution and development. 

“As you celebrate your 93rd birth anniversary today, I join your family, friends and well-wishers in giving thanks to Almighty God for your life and praying that He will continue to grant you good health, increased wisdom, direction, protection, and lasting provisions."
