Obituary Announcement: Chief Johnbull Ephraim (aka White Power Passed on, 

We deeply regret to announce the passing to glory of our beloved brother, uncle, husband, and father, Chief Johnbull Ephraim (aka White Power), who departed this world on the 30th of December, 2024, at the age of 71.
Burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time.

An inscription along the outer edge of the oval reads: OMO N’OBA N’EDO UKU AKPOLOKPOLO ‘ OBA EREDIAUWA ‘ 1979 – 2016. The late king is shown wearing glasses and a crown, necklace and tunic (partial view) of coral beads. The cloth’s background of black net-like linear patterns is echoed by larger format white linear motifs bordered by gold circles edged in black and with black centers. These linear patterns frame repeat red oval designs with a heraldic motif outlined in white of a leopard, bird of prey, elephant, and crossed state swords (eben) above the inscription MY GOD, MY RIGHT. Retired Police Officers Storm Aso Rock Over Unpaid Pensions as Senate Passes Reform Bill for Presidential Assent,

By EgbemaVoice, Retired police personnel and their families, under the aegis of the Police Retired Officers Forum of Nigeria, on Monday staged a protest at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, blocking one of its gates. The retirees said the demonstration was against the continued inclusion of the Nigeria Police Force in the Contributory Pension Scheme. They described the scheme as “fraudulent, illegal, inhumane, and obnoxious.” The protesters urged President  Bola Tinubu  to assent to the Police Exit Bill passed by the National Assembly on December 4, 2025. According to them, the bill was transmitted to the Presidency on March 16, 2026. They argued that when signed into law, the legislation would exempt police personnel from what they termed a “slavery and untimely death-inducing pension scheme.” The protest was led by the National Coordinator of the forum, Raphael Irowainu. BREAKING: The High Court of Delta State has issued an ex-parte injunction stopping and barring the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force from resuming the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy nationwide. The order was issued on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 by Hon. Justice Joe Egwu. The High Court also barred the police from harassing, arresting, detaining or extorting citizens and motorists on account of the said policy. The order will subsist pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. This latest injunction follows a suit filed in Delta State by the Applicant, a citizen by name Mr. Israel Joe. The Applicant was represented in court by a team of lawyers led by Kunle Edun, SAN. By this order, the announcement made by the Nigeria Police on its decision to resume the tinted glass permit enforcement on 2nd January, 2026 has been halted by the Court.
