Delta: CP Olufemi Decorates 100 Newly Promoted Officers,

The Delta State Police Command, on January 2, 2025, hosted a distinguished ceremony to honor 100 newly-promoted officers at the Police Officers’ Mess, State Headquarters, Asaba. Presided over by Commissioner of Police (CP) Olufemi Abaniwonda, the event celebrated the dedication and professionalism of officers across various ranks, with the decorations conducted on behalf of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

Prominent officers, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ado Ibrahim and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) Sadiq M. Mana, Maiyaki Joyce Mathew, and (CSP) Godwin Osadolor were among those decorated. These officers, along with leaders of the quick Response and Crack Squads, were recognized for their critical contributions to law enforcement, particularly in units such as the State Criminal Investigation Department and divisional policing in Ughelli and Kwale.

In his address, CP Abaniwonda congratulated the officers and emphasized that promotions signify greater responsibility, urging them to intensify their efforts in service to the public and the police force. He commended their unwavering professionalism and dedication to maintaining law and order in Delta State.

The ceremony concluded with officers pledging their commitment to the trust and expectations placed upon them, marking the event as both a celebration of achievement and a call to enhanced service in ensuring the state's safety and security.
