By EgbemaVoice,
Warri, Delta State — The Egbema Kingdom and Niger Delta youth leader, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, has fiercely condemned a viral social media publication falsely alleging that the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government over the continued detention of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement signed by his Media Consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, and made available to journalists in Warri, Comrade Ogumaka described the report as “a calculated blackmail orchestrated by faceless enemies of the Ijaw Nation and peace in the Niger Delta.”
The handwriting is clear, these are enemies of progress and confused elements trying to sow discord between the Federal Government and the Ijaw nation,” Comrade Ogumaka stated.
“Issuing an ultimatum to the Federal Government without Tompolo’s knowledge or consent is criminal. Those behind it should be thoroughly investigated and brought to justice.”
He revealed that, From Adaka Boro to Tompolo, Ijaws Are Defenders of Nigeria’s Stability, Comrade Ogumaka emphasized that Ijaw heroes have always stood at the forefront of defending Nigeria and protecting its economic lifelines, from the revolutionary Major Isaac Adaka Jasper Boro to the present-day Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo).
From Adaka Boro to Tompolo, the Ijaw people have never been enemies of the Nigerian state.
They have always fought to protect the nation and its vital economic assets, particularly in the Niger Delta,” he declared.
He noted that those peddling falsehoods against Tompolo were merely agents of destabilization, bent on creating tension in the region for selfish gains.
Ogumaka described Tompolo as “a living symbol of peace, unity, and stability in the Niger Delta,” stressing that attempts to blackmail him or create chaos in the region will be resisted by all peace-loving Niger Deltans.
The Niger Delta has endured years of oppression, marginalization, and environmental degradation.
We will not allow blackmailers and sellouts to derail the peace and progress we are achieving under Tompolo’s leadership,” he emphasized.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Niger Delta youth to peace, unity, and sustainable development across Ijaw communities in Delta and Edo States, calling on all stakeholders to remain vigilant and united against divisive forces.
Those who trade the dignity of the Ijaw people for peanuts are the true enemies of our region. We stand firm with Tompolo and the noble values he represents,” Ogumaka concluded.
