By EgbemaVoice, The immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that fuel subsidy is back in a bigger measure without the awareness of Nigerians. He stated this while speaking with newsmen in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday, April 15, 2024. Recall that in his inaugural speech, President Bola Tinubu had announced the removal of fuel subsidy, saying its payment was no longer justifiable. However, according to El-Rufai, “Fuel subsidy is another policy that has been implemented by the president, it’s the right policy. I always supported withdrawing fuel subsidy. But, in the course of implementation as you can see the government has now realized that the subsidy has to be back because right now, we are paying a lot of money for subsidy even more than before. So, we are still subsidizing Petrol because the government has realised that the way it implemented the fuel subsidy initially required some adjustments.

Today the 14/04/2024 at about 1420hrs two military personnel named CPL Innocent Joseph and L/CPL Jacob Gani, who were identified to be working with DFL/Refinery came into the facility with one acura jeep with registration number LAGOS JJJ 594 HS. On the process of exiting the DFL main gate during the routine search, they were caught with eight hundred and ninety seven cut to sizes armour cable. There is an ongoing battle between state state security personnel and Oodua Nation agitators at the Oyo state government secretariat. It was learned that the suspected Oodua Nation agitators in Army uniform stormed the government secretariat in numbers to hijack the Oyo state House of Assembly.
