Today, Umudike Town officially kicked off the life-transforming Egbema Festival Scouting Football Tournament, a unifying initiative powered by Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima (MFR), popularly known as Omeudo.
The kickoff has once again brought vibrancy and unity to Umudike, reviving the town with renewed joy again. Everywhere Omeudo steps, peace follows, because Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima is a born peacemaker.

Speaking at the event, Comr. Cleophas Eburue, former Egbema Youth President and former BOT chairman of Egbema Youth, applauded Omeudo for introducing this unifying tournament. He emphasized that Umudike, once misunderstood as a town lacking peace, is now attracting visitors from across Egbema to witness football and unity in action.
Also speaking, Ifejirika Innocent, the current Youth President of Umudike, commended Hon. Uju, declaring that only Umudike people truly know the extent of his impact with this action. He expressed deep gratitude, noting that Omeudo personally insisted the tournament must also take place in Umudike. “This is the purest form of promoting peace, youth development, brotherly kindness, love, and unity,” he said. “Umudike youth are happy and enjoying this historic moment. Thank you, Sir.”

Players were further advised to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, showcase their skills, and play without grudges.

The event drew a massive crowd as mothers, fathers, and youths from across the land trooped out to watch the thrilling encounter. They extolled Omeudo for bringing this peace driven initiative to Umudike and for insisting the town be part of the festival’s historic competition.

Today’s match featured Umudike Town Team 1 vs. Umuorji Town Team 2.

Once again, Umudike stands peaceful,and Omeudo has proven it beyond doubt.
