CHAPTER ONE: ORIGIN AND MIGRATION HISTORY
The founding ancestor of the Ajakurama (Ajakoro-ama) Clan in Egbema Kingdom, spanning present-day Edo and Delta States, traces origin to the Proto-Ijo communities of the central Niger Delta.
The earliest ancestors came from Azagbene (Ekeremor LGA, Bayelsa State), among the first Proto‑Ijos who migrated from Amatu (Iduwini) and later from Gbekebo (Mein).
From this line came Pa. Egbema, founder of Egbema Kingdom. His descendants established communities such as:
Opuama
Bolou/Jamagie (present Abadigbene)
Ogbudugbudu
Ajakurama (Ajakoro‑ama)
The founder of Ajakurama Mama Jer Royal Highness Ekpeku Efeikurimokumoh daughter of the Egbema Royal Line and priestess of Egbesu.

Mama Ekpeku after founded Ajakurama town, she later went to Opuama her Father community and brought her brother Chief Ogumaka to Ajakurama. He became: Warlord of Egbema Kingdom
