The Bolowei of Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Omoko, popularly known as Alhaji, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his recent double honours as Governor of the Year 2025 by New Telegraph Newspapers and Leadership Newspapers.

Governor Oborevwori received the prestigious awards following separate recognitions by the two national dailies, which commended his impactful governance style, people-oriented leadership, and consistent implementation of policies that have significantly transformed lives across Delta State.

According to the media organisations, the Governor distinguished himself through inclusive governance, strategic infrastructure development, economic reforms, and programmes targeted at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of Deltans. They noted that his administration has demonstrated diligence, transparency, and commitment to sustainable development.
Reacting to the development, Hon. Omoko described Governor Oborevwori as “a people-feeling Governor who understands the yearnings of the masses and has won the hearts of Deltans through visible legacy projects spread across all local government areas of the state.”

The Bolowei stated that the Governor’s good leadership, infrastructural strides, and grassroots-focused policies have boldly announced his name on the national stage, making Delta State proud.

He further emphasized that the recognition reflects the collective voice of Deltans who continue to applaud the Governor’s performance, stressing that “across all local government areas, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s name is being echoed for his uncommon leadership style — a development unprecedented in the political history of Delta State.”

Hon. Omoko, on behalf of critical stakeholders and the people of Egbema Kingdom, expressed confidence that the Governor would continue to deliver on his MORE Agenda and sustain the tempo of development across the state.

The double recognition, he noted, further underscores Governor Oborevwori’s rising national profile and affirms the broad acknowledgment of his administration’s developmental strides

BREAKING: The High Court of Delta State has issued an ex-parte injunction stopping and barring the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force from resuming the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy nationwide. The order was issued on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 by Hon. Justice Joe Egwu. The High Court also barred the police from harassing, arresting, detaining or extorting citizens and motorists on account of the said policy. The order will subsist pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. This latest injunction follows a suit filed in Delta State by the Applicant, a citizen by name Mr. Israel Joe. The Applicant was represented in court by a team of lawyers led by Kunle Edun, SAN. By this order, the announcement made by the Nigeria Police on its decision to resume the tinted glass permit enforcement on 2nd January, 2026 has been halted by the Court.
