WARRI KINGDOM CONFERS UTUKPA-ORITSE TITLE ON OLUREMI TINUBU,

The Warri Kingdom has marked a historic milestone as His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, conferred the revered chieftaincy title of Utukpa-Oritse on Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
The colourful investiture ceremony symbolized a heartfelt homecoming for the First Lady, who proudly traces her maternal heritage to the Itsekiri people. In addition to the prestigious title, she was inducted into the Royal Order of Iwere (ROI)—one of the kingdom’s highest honours reserved for distinguished sons, daughters, and allies of Iwere land.
The grand ceremony attracted an array of eminent personalities, including the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; and the Dein of Agbor, Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi I, alongside other royal fathers, political leaders, and dignitaries from across the country.
The event not only celebrated Warri’s rich cultural heritage but also further strengthened the enduring bond between the First Lady and her ancestral homeland, reaffirming unity, tradition, and shared identity among the people.
