The Niger Delta youth leader, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, a critical stakeholder from Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area, has applauded the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for what he described as massive infrastructural projects across the state.
However, the youth leader lamented what he termed the persistent underdevelopment of Egbema Kingdom, urging the governor to extend the MORE Agenda of his administration to the area.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Comrade Mingo expressed concern over the condition of public infrastructure in Egbema communities, noting that many primary and secondary school buildings have fallen into serious disrepair due to lack of government presence.
“Our communities are gradually turning into camps. Primary and secondary school buildings are dilapidated because of government neglect. Since Governor Sheriff Oborevwori assumed office, Egbema people have not felt the impact of his administration,” he stated.
He further alleged that the kingdom has been sidelined in the current administration and called on the governor to urgently intervene in critical sectors including education, road infrastructure, and healthcare.
“We cannot continue to endure hardship daily. Egbema people deserve visible government presence and meaningful development like other parts of Delta State,” he added.
Comrade Mingo appealed to Governor Oborevwori to prioritize Egbema Kingdom in upcoming project commissioning and developmental plans to address the growing concerns of the people.
