A tragic and shocking incident occurred on the above date and time, involving the brutal killing of the traditional ruler of Ochaa Autonomous Community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
The victim, HRH Eze Ekwueme Paulinus Ekwueme, was reportedly ambushed alongside his entourage by unknown gunmen while returning to Owerri after attending a community meeting.
During the attack, the assailants opened fire on the convoy, resulting in the immediate death of the traditional ruler, three police officers attached to him, his driver, and two other occupants of the SUV vehicle.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the attackers subsequently set the vehicle ablaze, burning the victims beyond recognition along with the SUV.
