A prominent Niger Delta ex-agitator, respected community leader, and Executive Chairman of Obotobo I Federated Community in Ogulagha Kingdom, Chief Ebiware Owolo aka (Agbalakoko), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Comr. Dr. Doubra Okotete Collins following his emergence as the 10th National President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.
In a congratulatory message made available to EgbemaVoice News, Chief Owolo described the emergence of Comr. Dr. Collins as a divine act of God and a well-deserved victory for the entire Ijaw nation. According to him, the outcome of the election reflects the confidence and trust reposed in the new president by Ijaw youths across the globe.
Chief Owolo stated that Comr. Dr. Doubra Okotete Collins has distinguished himself over the years as a courageous, intelligent, disciplined, and outspoken advocate of the Ijaw struggle, whose commitment to justice, equity, peace, youth development, and the advancement of the Niger Delta has remained unwavering.
He noted that before attaining the highest office of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, the new National President served meritoriously in several leadership capacities, particularly as Chairman of the IYC Western Zone, where he demonstrated exceptional administrative ability, visionary leadership, and an commitment to protecting the interests of Ijaw youths and promoting unity across the region.
According to Chief Owolo, the people of Ogulagha Kingdom are proud to have produced a leader of such quality and integrity. He expressed confidence that Comr. Dr. Collins possesses the experience, capacity, and leadership qualities required to reposition the Ijaw Youth Council as a stronger and more united organization capable of effectively championing the aspirations of the Ijaw people.
He urged the newly elected National President to remain focused, humble, transparent, and committed to the ideals upon which the Ijaw Youth Council was founded. He further encouraged him to promote peace, unity, reconciliation, youth empowerment, educational advancement, economic development, environmental justice, and constructive engagement with governments, stakeholders, and development partners for the benefit of the Niger Delta region.
Chief Owolo also appealed to all Ijaw youths, stakeholders, elders, traditional rulers, women, and leaders across the various clans and kingdoms to rally behind the new National President, irrespective of political or sectional affiliations, stressing that collective support is essential for the success of his administration and the continued progress of the Ijaw nation.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant Comr. Dr. Doubra Okotete Collins divine wisdom, sound health, courage, and strength to discharge the enormous responsibilities entrusted to him, while expressing optimism that his tenure would usher in a new era of unity, purposeful leadership, sustainable development, and renewed hope for Ijaw youths worldwide.
