THE 2026 IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC) NATIONAL ELECTION HAS COME AND GONE!

To God be all the glory!

Today, we celebrate not merely an electoral victory, but the triumph of unity, peace, democracy, and the collective will of the Ijaw people. Indeed, this is a victory for the entire Ijaw Nation.

With profound humility and a heart filled with gratitude, I sincerely thank the 117 delegates across all chapters and every supporter who believed in our shared vision and stood firmly with us throughout this journey. I am deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in me to serve as the President-Elect of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, alongside the distinguished members of the 10th National Executive Council (NEC).

I wish to express my deepest appreciation to our revered fathers and leaders whose guidance, encouragement, and unwavering commitment ensured the peaceful conduct and success of this historic election. In particular, I acknowledge:

* Our patriotic brothers and fellow aspirants who, in the interest of unity and the greater good of the Ijaw Nation, made personal sacrifices by setting aside their ambitions. Your statesmanship, maturity, and selflessness have written your names in the history of our Council.
* Our respected stakeholders, traditional rulers, elders, friends, family members, supporters, campaign team, and the delegates across all zones and chapters, whose unwavering prayers, sacrifices, encouragement, and steadfast support made this remarkable victory possible.

To every contestant, supporter, and stakeholder, this victory belongs to us all. The contest is over; now is the time to close ranks, heal every divide, and work together in unity to build a stronger, more united, more inclusive, and more progressive Ijaw Youth Council for the benefit of present and future generations.

May Almighty God continue to bless our revered leaders, our benefactors, our supporters, the newly elected 10th National Executive Council, and the entire Ijaw Nation with peace, wisdom, unity, and unprecedented progress.

We now look forward with great anticipation to the official inauguration of the 10th National Executive Council (NEC), scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 22nd July, 2026, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Together, united in purpose and driven by service, we shall advance the cause of the Ijaw Nation and build a stronger, more prosperous future for our people.
