Historic Arrival of Rano Air in Warri: A New Dawn for Delta Aviation and Business.

Today marked a significant milestone in the aviation history of Delta State as a high-powered delegation representing the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Hon. Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, witness the inaugural Rano Air flight from Abuja to Warri at the Osubi Airport.

Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Maurice Ojo-Ede, CEO of Kinging Logistics and Automobile Ltd and Founder of the OMO Foundation, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, and Alhaji Lawan Sabi Bankinzuwo, Chief Operational Manager of Rano Air. The delegation was warmly received by the Airport Manager, Chief Winston Ifeacho Egwuatu, and his dedicated management team.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ojo-Ede expressed his satisfaction with the launch of Rano Air's operations in Warri, noting that this development would spur economic growth and create job opportunities for Deltans. He extended heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for fostering a business-friendly environment that encourages investment and infrastructure development.

Dr. Ojo-Ede also commended the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, for his transformative work in the ministry and for entrusting him and the delegation with the honour of representing the Minister at such a historic occasion.

Today’s event marks not just the arrival of an aircraft, but the beginning of greater connectivity, opportunity, and prosperity for the people of Delta State.

Again: Itsekiri Stakeholders Lose Warri Delineation Case, Court Orders ₦4 Million Payment,

By EgbemaVoice, The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit instituted by some Itsekiri stakeholders aimed at halting the proposed delineation of electoral wards and polling units in the Warri Federal Constituency of Delta State. The suit, marked FHC/ABJ/443/2024, was filed by Hon. Appearance Afejuku and Mr. Emmanuel Nunu, Secretary of Warri South Local Government Area, against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In his judgment delivered by Justice Omotosho ruled that the suit was a gross abuse of court process and lacked merit. Consequently, the court struck out the case in its entirety and awarded a total cost of ₦4 million against the plaintiffs, payable with interest at 10% per annum until the judgment sum is fully settled. The plaintiffs had sought an injunction restraining INEC from embarking on a fresh delineation exercise within Warri South, Warri North, and Warri South-West Local Government Areas.
