Ijaw Publishers' Forum to Inaugurate New Leadership February 26 in Delta

The Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) announced the inauguration of its new leadership on February 26 in Delta State. The event which would take place in Chief Tunde's playground at Barracks junction in NPA, Warri is expected to draw prominent Ijaw leaders, stakeholders, and members, highlighting the importance of the transition process.
According to the statement, the Forum was established to give voice to the marginalized Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta region. IPF has been championing free press and journalists' rights. The forum's focus areas include resource control, self-determination and accurate and balanced storytelling about the cause of the Ijaw people. 

The new leadership is poised to take the organization to the next level, building on the efforts of its achievements in the next two years.
The statement invites the general public to grace the event.

JUST IN: Court reject bid to halt David Mark _ Led ADC's convention progresses  By EgbemaVoice, The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday, declined an application seeking to restrain the African Democratic Congress, led by Senator David Mark, from holding conventions, congresses or meetings to elect or ratify members of its executive bodies and other party structures. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling, refused the motion ex parte filed by a former Deputy National Chairman of the ADC, Nafiu-Bala Gombe, holding that granting such an application without hearing from the other parties would amount to overreaching. “I have listened to the submission of the learned counsel for the applicant and have also gone through the affidavit evidence with exhibits thereto along with the written address,” the judge said. BREAKING: The High Court of Delta State has issued an ex-parte injunction stopping and barring the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force from resuming the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy nationwide. The order was issued on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 by Hon. Justice Joe Egwu. The High Court also barred the police from harassing, arresting, detaining or extorting citizens and motorists on account of the said policy. The order will subsist pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. This latest injunction follows a suit filed in Delta State by the Applicant, a citizen by name Mr. Israel Joe. The Applicant was represented in court by a team of lawyers led by Kunle Edun, SAN. By this order, the announcement made by the Nigeria Police on its decision to resume the tinted glass permit enforcement on 2nd January, 2026 has been halted by the Court.
