Niger Delta Youth Leader Comrade Mingo Salutes Omoyele Sowore at 55

The Niger Delta Youth Leader, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, has extended warm congratulations to renowned human rights activist, former presidential aspirant, and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, on the occasion of his 55th birthday anniversary celebrated on February 16.
Comrade Mingo described Sowore as “an icon of courage, a bold and vocal advocate of justice, and a fearless defender of democratic values who has fought countless battles in pursuit of truth and accountability.”
He noted that over the years, Sowore has distinguished himself as a relentless voice for the oppressed, consistently challenging injustice and standing firm in the face of intimidation. According to Mingo, Sowore’s activism has inspired a generation of young Nigerians to believe in the power of civic engagement and responsible leadership.
“Omoyele Sowore represents resilience and unwavering commitment to national transformation. He is not only a true activist but also a practical politician who understands the realities of governance and the urgent need for systemic reform,” Mingo stated.
The Niger Delta youth leader further commended Sowore’s sacrifices in the struggle for human rights and good governance, emphasizing that his contributions to Nigeria’s democratic journey remain significant and worthy of recognition.
“As he marks his 55th birthday, we celebrate his courage, his consistency, and his many victories. We also anticipate greater accomplishments ahead as he continues to champion justice, equity, and national development,” Mingo added.
