Egbema Youth Political Forum Meets in Sapele, Advocates Unity, Political Inclusion and Strategic Leadership Engagement,

The Egbema Youth Political Forum (EYPF) held a strategic meeting in Sapele Town, Delta State, where critical issues concerning the political future, unity, and development of Egbema Kingdom were extensively discussed.
Speaking during the meeting, the chairman Barrister Baidi Stephen Ebigbagha and participants deliberate the need for greater unity among Egbema sons and daughters, stressing that collective efforts and stakeholder engagement remain the key to achieving the long-desired political freedom and advancement of the kingdom.
The forum noted with satisfaction the steady progress being made in the struggle for Egbema political emancipation and called on all stakeholders to remain focused, united, and committed to the common interest of the kingdom. Members also urged caution against character assassination and divisive tendencies, emphasizing that decisions affecting the kingdom must be made with wisdom, fairness, and due consultation.
The meeting strongly resolved that Egbema Kingdom should strategically position itself to produce the next member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri North Local Government Area. Participants maintained that the kingdom can no longer remain under political oppression, intimidation, or marginalization.
The forum further highlighted concerns over the political situation of Egbema communities in Edo State, describing it as a challenge that requires urgent attention and collective action. Members called on the youth to champion advocacy efforts aimed at improving political inclusion and development in the area, noting that the youth remain the backbone of every progressive society.
Deliberations also focused on political power-sharing arrangements within Warri North, Ovia South West Local Government Area. The forum called for a critical review of the distribution of elective and appointive positions, including the rotation of the Local Government Chairmanship, Commissioner slots, and other political appointments, to ensure fairness and equity for Egbema Kingdom.
Participants stressed the importance of cooperation between youth leaders and the traditional and community leadership of Egbema Kingdom, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through mutual respect, dialogue, and collaboration.
The Egbema Youth Political Forum also sued for peace, unity, and reconciliation among all Egbema people, urging members to set aside personal interests and community sentiments that may hinder collective progress.
The meeting further expressed concerns over allegations of the sidelining of Egbema people in Edo State within political structures and called for strategic engagement to address the issue. Members encouraged all eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the democratic process.
The forum condemned acts of betrayal and internal divisions among Egbema sons and daughters, stated that the kingdom's progress can only be achieved when its people work together toward common goals. Participants acknowledged that every meaningful struggle comes with challenges but reaffirmed their commitment to sustained leadership engagement and political advocacy.
The meeting also noted the need for stronger collaboration between the Egbema Youth Political Forum and the Elders' Forum. It was disclosed that the youth leadership has written another letter seeking closer cooperation and partnership with the kingdom's leadership to advance the collective interests of Egbema Kingdom.

EGBEMA YOUTH POLITICAL FORUM (EGYPF) UNDER THE CHAMPIONSHIP OF BARR. EBIGBAGHA S. BAIDI, BL,LL.B MET IN SAPELE ON THE 30TH DAY OF MAY, 2026 AND EXTENSIVELY DISCUSSED ISSUES AFFECTING THE KINGDOM POLITICALLY.
The meeting was fruitful as youths in the Egbema kingdom from Edo and Delta States met and extensively discussed political issues affecting the good people of the Kingdom.
The youths express their profound appreciation to the leaders in the kingdom for their unwavering commitment in advancing the kingdom politically.
The following resolutions were unanimously reached.
1. The Youths in the Kingdom call for unity among the leaders and youths in Edo and Delta States.
2. The youths commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for releasing the final report of the Ward delineation in Warri Federal Constituency and also call on the commission for full implementation. The youths appeal to all aggrieved parties to accept the report in good fate.
3. The youths resolved to collectively resist any political decision that is not in the interest of the kingdom.
4. The youths further resolve to withdraw their total support from Hon. Barr. Omosede Igbinedion who is re-contesting for the House of Representatives seat in the forthcoming general elections to represent the good people of Egbema Kingdom in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State and other Ijaw Kingdoms in the State over her unguided public statement made against the Ijaws on the proposed creation of Toru-Ibe Sate. That any youth caught in doing contrary to this collective decision will be decisively dealt with.
