Niger Delta Advocate, Captain Dan Ekpa, has commended High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), popularly known as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Niger Delta and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, for spearheading a grassroots door-to-door mobilization campaign in support of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in a statement made available to EgbemaVoice News, Captain Dan Ekpa described Tompolo's initiative as a bold demonstration of patriotism, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the unity, peace, and sustainable development of the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.
According to him, Tompolo has consistently remained a dependable leader whose influence has contributed significantly to peace, stability, and economic growth in the oil-rich Niger Delta. He noted that the former Niger Delta freedom fighter has transformed from a regional activist into a respected national statesman whose efforts continue to promote dialogue, peacebuilding, and constructive engagement with the Federal Government.
Captain Dan Ekpa stated that the ongoing door-to-door campaign reflects Tompolo's confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his belief that continuity will further consolidate ongoing reforms, strengthen national unity, and accelerate development across the Niger Delta and other parts of the country.
He observed that under Tompolo's leadership, the Niger Delta has experienced improved collaboration with the Federal Government, resulting in increased peace, enhanced protection of critical national assets, and improved confidence among investors in the region.
The Niger Delta advocate further praised Tompolo for using his influence to mobilize support through peaceful democratic participation rather than confrontation, describing the campaign as a model of responsible civic engagement.
Captain Dan Ekpa urged political stakeholders, traditional rulers, youth groups, women, community leaders, and residents of the Niger Delta to embrace peaceful political participation and support initiatives that promote national development, stability, and economic prosperity.
He expressed optimism that sustained collaboration between the Federal Government and key stakeholders in the Niger Delta would continue to attract more developmental projects, create employment opportunities for youths, and strengthen the region's contribution to Nigeria's economic growth.
Captain Dan Ekpa concluded by reaffirming his support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, unity, and inclusive governance, while commending Tompolo for what he described as his selfless service, courageous leadership, and commitment to the progress of the Niger Delta and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
