OUR VOTE, OUR FUTURE: WHY ONDO STATE YOUTHS MUST RALLY BEHIND TOMPOLO FOR TINUBU'S SECOND TERM COME 2027

A PRESS STATEMENT BY ONDO STATE YOUTH FORUM

Today, Tuesday, the 25th day of August 2026, at the PAP Ondo Liaison Office, Agadagba. Ese Odo LGA Ondo State.

Dear Protocols,

Distinguished members of the press, our respected community leaders, political stakeholders, youth leaders, fellow Niger Delta youths, ladies and gentlemen.

Today, we wholeheartedly welcome every one of you to this press briefing, organized by the Ondo State Youth Forum to support and reaffirm our allegiance to the *IJaw National leader, Oweizide Government Ekpenobodo, alias Tompolo, Door-to-Door Campaign for the re-election bid of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the forthcoming Presidential Election come 2027.*

We gathered here today because we believe that leadership must be judged by its impact on the lives of the people. As promising youths of Ondo State, and its stakeholders in the Niger Delta region, we have a collective responsibility to scrutinize the policies, programmes, and interventions of the present administration and to make our contributions in conjunction with other critical stakeholders across the nooks and crannies of the Sunshine State.

For us, our position is very clear: we, therefore, use this medium to profusely call on all the well-meaning sons and daughters of Ondo State to support the reelection and continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 2027 general election is approaching

Our Nation: “Nigeria’s developmental transformation is our priority.” — Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, today, Nigeria is gradually saying goodbye to the old politics of ethnicity, division, and religious manipulation, and embracing a new era where national development comes first.
A nation can only achieve true greatness when its citizens place national interest above tribal sentiment. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has consistently demonstrated that the unity, progress, and prosperity of Nigeria are more important than ethnic or sectional considerations.

This is not just a promise; it is a vision backed by bold policies, courageous reforms, and visible achievements aimed at securing the future of both present and coming generations.

*PRESIDENT TINUBU’S DEVELOPMENTAL TRANSFORMATION ACHIEVEMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS.*

* Local Government Autonomy
* Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway
* Removal of petrol subsidy and foreign exchange unification
* Stronger institutions
* Tax and investment Reforms
* Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway
* Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)
* Foreign exchange reforms to stabilize the economy
* Increased attention to energy and power development
• Employment opportunities for youths

* Implementation of Electronic Gates (E-Gates) and Electronic Passports (E-Passports)
* Approval of a higher national minimum wage
* Increase in crude oil production from about 800,000 barrels per day to approximately 1.8 million barrels per day
* Education & Youth Empowerment
* Economic & Financial Reforms
* Energy, Power & Food Security
* Oil & Revenue Growth

*IT IS THEREFORE EVIDENT THAT THE CHOICES BEFORE NIGERIA:* Must not return to an era where ethnicity and religion are used as tools to divide the people while national wealth is looted for personal gain. The task before us is to protect and consolidate the developmental transformation that has begun. Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown the courage to take difficult but necessary decisions for the long-term survival of Nigeria. His administration is laying the foundation for the future posterity of our children. So, supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term means supporting continuity, stability, reform, and national progress. It means choosing development over division, competence over sentiment, and the future over the failures of the past.
Let every patriotic Nigerian rise in support of this arrived developmental transformation, so that our dear nation can continue on the path of renewed hope, prosperity, and greatness.

One of the most significant examples is the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), In Which Mr. President's appointment of High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme has shaped education, human-capital development, empowerment, and sustainable peace in the Niger Delta region.

The period of Chief Dennis Otuaro's administration has also witnessed thousands of Niger Delta youths who have benefited from the educational opportunities through the programme, with approximately 8,000 and above beneficiaries currently studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria, while hundreds of students have also been deployed to offshore studies in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.

These are not merely statistics or rhetoric. But behind every scholarship is a young person whose future is being transformed; behind every graduate is a family whose hope has been renewed; and behind every trained youth is a potential professional who will also contribute to the development of his or her community, especially the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.

These are the kinds of investments we want to sustain in the Niger Delta.

We also appreciate Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, for giving the Niger Delta youth the needed attention in terms of education, empowerments, in ensuring that our communities within the Niger Delta region continue to benefit from these opportunities provided through the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

It is also noteworthy that we must commend Dr. Dennis Otuaro for the appointment of *High Chief Sylvester Sofiyegha Ayebi as Head of the Ondo State Liaison Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.* The leadership of the Ondo Liaison Office has also provided an important platform for community engagement between the beneficiaries, youth leaders, community stakeholders, and the good people of Ondo State

We equally acknowledged the Federal Government's impact and its engagement in the protection of Nigeria's critical oil and gas infrastructure. The *pipeline surveillance contract that was awarded to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited,* through the guidance of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has created an avenue for indigenous participation in the protection of our national assets.

The initiative has contributed meaningful efforts in combating crude oil theft, safeguarding pipelines and other critical infrastructure that also support national oil production, and creating legitimate employment opportunities for thousands of youths in the Niger Delta.

For us, this is important because Niger Delta youths should not remain idle in the affairs of a region that has contributed immensely to the Nigerian economy. Our youths deserve opportunities to participate meaningfully in protecting, developing, and benefiting from the resources of our homeland.

We respectfully acknowledged Tompolo's vision by inaugurating the *Door-to-Door Campaign* for the re-election of our workaholic President, his valid contributions to the development of the Niger Delta, as well as his continued engagement in tackling issues affecting the region.

We equally acknowledged the interventions of the *Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)* across the region, particularly in the areas of roads, bridges, electricity, water supply, and other development projects across the length and breadth of the oil-rich region of the Niger Delta.

In Ondo State, several NDDC intervention programmes have remarkably impacted the lives of communities within the southern senatorial district and other parts of the state.

The Niger Delta needs peace. It needs education. It needs employment. It needs infrastructure. It needs empowerment. Above all, it needs the attention of the Federal Government.

That is why we believe that continuity matters, and the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sacrosanct.

As Ondo youths, we are particularly concerned about the future. We want a Nigeria where young people can acquire quality education to develop their skills, secure meaningful employment, and participate actively in the nation's economic development.

We want our riverine communities to have better roads, electricity, water, healthcare, schools,s and other basic infrastructure.

We want peace and stability to replace insecurity and uncertainty.

We want the Niger Delta region to remain firm on the national development agenda of this administration.

And we strongly believe that these objectives are better pursued through constructive engagement, partnership, and continuity.

On this note, the Ondo State Youth Forum hereby declares its Total support to affirm our unwavering commitment to supporting Tompolo Door-to-Door Campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

We will take this message from *door to door, community to community, and household to household,* by engaging our people peacefully, respectfully, and constructively.

We shall encourage our fellow youths to participate actively in the democratic process, to look at the records of the present administration, and to inform them about making the right choices for the betterment of our future in this country.

Our message is simple:

More so, we call on the youths of Ese-Odo, Ilaje, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo, Ileluji Okeigbo, and the entire Ondo State to unite and rally around ensuring the values of peace, development, and youth empowerment as the 2927 election approaches.

As we begin this mobilisation, let it be known that Ondo youths are not standing on the sidelines. We are taking our future into our own hands.

Our vote is our voice.

Our vote is our power.

Our vote is our future.

Finally,  as we look towards 2027, we proudly stand with Chief Tompolo Door-to-Door Campaign and in support of the re-election bid of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

OUR VOTE, OUR FUTURE.

TOMPOLO FOR THE PEOPLE.

TINUBU FOR CONTINUITY.

TINUBU FOR THE NIGER DELTA.

TINUBU FOR A RENEWED NIGERIA.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Long live Ondo State.
Long live the Niger Delta.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The convener of this Program is High Chief Sylvester Ayebi Sofiyegha. Head of the Ondo Liaison Office of the Presidential Amnesty Program.
