Opuama Appeals to Gov. Oborevwori for Equity in Warri North Fishing Empowerment__ Comr. Ugular Endurance

OPUAMA APPEALS TO GOV. OBOREVWORI FOR EQUITY IN WARRI NORTH FISHING EMPOWERMENT,

By EgbemaVoice,

Amb. Endurance Ebizimoh Ugular, Secretary, APC Ward 07, Opuama, Egbema 1, has appealed to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to intervene over the exclusion of Opuama Community from the recent distribution of fishing nets, boats and Yamaha outboard engines to riverine communities in Warri North.
Ebizimoh noted that Opuama is a predominantly riverine community whose people depend heavily on fishing and other water-based activities for their livelihoods.

He called on the Governor to direct the relevant authorities to review the distribution and ensure that Opuama receives fair and equitable consideration.
The appeal, he stressed, is a peaceful call for equity, justice, fairness and inclusion, urging government to ensure that no riverine community is left behind in empowerment programmes.

“We seek justice. We seek equity. We seek inclusion. We seek equal opportunity for Opuama Community.  Read full statement,

A STRONG APPEAL TO HIS EXCELLENCY, RT. HON. SHERIFF OBOREVWORI, EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE

His Excellency,
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,
Executive Governor of Delta State,
Government House, Asaba.
Your Excellency,

HUMBLE APPEAL FOR EQUITY AND JUSTICE IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF FISHING NETS, BOATS AND OUTBOARD YAMAHA ENGINES TO RIVERINE COMMUNITIES IN WARRI NORTH.

With utmost humility and respect, we wish to bring to Your Excellency's attention a matter of serious concern regarding the recent distribution of fishing nets, boats and outboard engines to riverine communities in Warri North Local Government Area as part of the empowerment programme for fishermen and women.

Sir, we respectfully observed that Opuama Community was not included among the beneficiary communities, despite the fact that our people are predominantly riverine and depend substantially on fishing and other water-based economic activities for their livelihood.

We therefore humbly appeal to Your Excellency to urgently intervene and direct the appropriate authorities, particularly the Warri North Local Government Council, to review the distribution process and ensure that Opuama Community receives fair and equitable consideration.
Our appeal is not intended to be confrontational. Rather, it is a sincere call for equity, justice, fairness, and inclusiveness in the distribution of government empowerment programmes.
Your Excellency, we believe that every community deserves to feel the positive impact of government, and that no community should be left behind. We therefore respectfully plead with Your Excellency to use your good office to correct this perceived omission and ensure that the people of Opuama are given the opportunity to benefit from this empowerment initiative.

As we approach the 2027 general elections, we respectfully note that the confidence and support of the people are strengthened when government programmes are distributed fairly and transparently. We believe that our votes and support should be built on equity, justice, inclusion, and visible development for all communities.
We remain confident that Your Excellency, as the Governor of all Deltans, will give this appeal the urgent and favourable consideration it deserves.
We respectfully seek justice.
We seek equity.

We seek inclusion.
We seek equal opportunity for Opuama Community.
May God continue to grant Your Excellency wisdom, strength, and good health as you continue to serve the good people of Delta State.

Yours faithfully,
Amb: Endurance Ebizimoh ugular.
Secretary APC ward 07 Opuama Egbema 1
