NCDMB: IYC Demands Sack of Unproductive Ogbe as Executive Secretary,

August 14 NCDMB: IYC Demands Sack of Unproductive Ogbe as Executive Secretary  Leadership in its most rudimentary form defines the essence of absolute responsibility on assigned tasks as bestowed by higher authorities. This very phenomenon has been found to be lacking in the leadership of Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) headed by Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe.  As Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Ogbe has consistently failed to input his supposed industry track record in the advancement of the mandate upon which the agency was founded. He has continually had a sectional engagement with his fellow Itsekiri Kits and Kin, thereby shutting all other ethnic nationalites in the Niger Delta region out.  Repeatedly has he avoided critical youth engagement in the region while sponsoring that of his Itsekiri ethnicity through different human capacity development initiatives, while other ethnic nationalites are left unattended. As Ijaws, mostly from...

DECISION TO WITHDRAW CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST MS. COMFORT EMMANSON AND TO ADDRESS RELATED MATTERS

DECISION TO WITHDRAW CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST MS. COMFORT EMMANSON AND TO ADDRESS RELATED MATTERS 1. In the last 48 hours, I have been in consultation with critical stakeholders in the Aviation Sector and those involved in the unfortunate incidents regarding the unruly behaviours of certain individuals at our airports of recent. 2. Though regrettable, we think valuable lessons have been learnt by all sides to these incidents and airport security protocol, especially, have been well highlighted for the travelling public. If nothing at all, the episodes have undoubtedly helped to raise public awareness about appropriate conduct within the aviation space. 3. As highlighted in my previous statements on the last two incidents, clear wrongs were committed by both the offending passengers and staff of the airlines involved from all the evidence available to us and those available to the public. It is clear that all the actors involved cannot continue to highlight the injury or injustice don...

Comfort Emmanson’s Painful Experience at Ibom Airport: “I Was Humiliated, My Body Exposed — Now I’m the One in Court” ‎,

Comfort Emmanson’s Painful Experience at Ibom Airport:  “I Was Humiliated, My Body Exposed — Now I’m the One in Court”  ‎ Says ‎Today, my life took a painful and unexpected turn. ‎ ‎While on board an airplane at Ibom Airport, I became the target of verbal attacks from some passengers over my choice of dressing. I did not insult anyone, I did not provoke anyone — yet things escalated until I was physically handled in a way no woman should ever experience. ‎ ‎In the chaos, my clothes were pulled and my breasts were exposed for everyone to see. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and stripped of my dignity in public. That moment will haunt me for a long time. ‎ ‎Instead of being treated as someone who was attacked, I was taken away and charged to court. Today ended with me being remanded — not for fighting, not for stealing, but after I had already suffered public humiliation. ‎ ‎I am not here to fight the law, but to tell my truth. I am someone’s daughter, sister, and fri...
