By EgbemaVoice, The Delta State Government has evacuated no fewer than 34 students of the University of Jos, following the recent security crisis in Plateau State, assuring them of safety and continued support. Speaking during a reception of the evacuated students, the State Director of Protocol, Chief Sunday Onoriode, commended the swift intervention approved by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and coordinated by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Comrade Ezekiel Okoh. He noted that the evacuation became necessary, following the closure of university by the school authority. Onoriode expressed gratitude that students of the state origin, returned home safely, describing the development as a testament to proactive governance and effective coordination.
