Executive Assistant to  Delta State Governor on Communications and Leader, Sheriffied Delta Media Group, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has congratulated the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly and governor in-waiting, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary on Sunday 19th June, 2022.

Oghenesivbe in a goodwill message made available to newsmen in Asaba, described Oborevwori as a man after God's heart, endowed with great wisdom, divine Grace and highly favoured, saying that no mortal force can stop the move of God in his life.

The renowned communication strategist  and Chairman, Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, said the incoming governor of Delta State, Oborevwori, has every reason to celebrate especially for being the longest serving Speaker since the creation of the state, became Deputy National Chairman of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, had a landslide victory at the just concluded Gubernatorial Primary and won five post Guber primary Court cases filed against him by his political detractors and many more accomplishments.

"Happy birthday and congratulations to my dear friend of 43 years and still counting, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor in-waiting of Delta State and Speaker, House of Assembly,  on the auspicious occasion of your 59th birthday anniversary celebration.

"Even the blind can see and the deaf can hear the goodness of God upon your life. You have every reason to celebrate and give special thanks to God, today and always because of the colourful destiny He gave you, making you victorious always in every step and in every move that you make in life.

"God in his infinite mercy chose you and gave you additional responsibility to govern this state from May 29, 2023, and I verily believe that you will Advance Delta by championing; Meaningful Development, provide Opportunity for all Deltans, bring about Realistic Reforms and Enhance Peace and Security under your well crafted and achievable M.O.R.E. agenda.

"As a man after God's heart and a competent visionary leader that you are, I have no doubt in my mind that you will Listen More, Do More and Achieve More for all Deltans from May 29, 2023 to May 28, 2031, by the special grace of God.

BREAKING: The High Court of Delta State has issued an ex-parte injunction stopping and barring the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force from resuming the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy nationwide. The order was issued on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 by Hon. Justice Joe Egwu. The High Court also barred the police from harassing, arresting, detaining or extorting citizens and motorists on account of the said policy. The order will subsist pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. This latest injunction follows a suit filed in Delta State by the Applicant, a citizen by name Mr. Israel Joe. The Applicant was represented in court by a team of lawyers led by Kunle Edun, SAN. By this order, the announcement made by the Nigeria Police on its decision to resume the tinted glass permit enforcement on 2nd January, 2026 has been halted by the Court.
