Hon. Capt. Smart Olorunyomi Asekutu, the immediate past Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pa Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, the iconic leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF). Chief Clark, who passed away on February 17, 2025, was widely regarded as the heroic mouthpiece of the Niger Delta and a champion for justice and equity in the region.

Capt. Asekutu mourned the loss of this monumental figure, describing him as a true hero and father of the Niger Delta who dedicated his life to advocating for the rights and development of the region.
