Ofunama—————The apex youth body of Egbema Kingdom “ Egbema Youth Council” (EYC) had a peaceful election process at Ofunama Town Hall in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo on Saturday 26th April 2025.

After thorough and tidious consultations, in the spirit of brotherhood and sustenance of peace, the Electoral committee ably led by its Chairman Pharm. Agagha Humphrey through the Secretary Mr. Ezekiel Ugulapelewei declared the consensus aspirants from the least position (Students’ Representative) to the highest position (President) unopposed and winners.

Some Critical stakeholders and leaders present were Mr. Martins Lawuru, Hon. Bidibowei Abilo, Mr.Alex Kiri member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and others gave their words of advice to the New Executive, all emphasizes were on the value of Unity devoid of communities personal interest as the new Exco of Council.

The President Elect on behalf of his Executive members appreciated the entire Youths of Egbema Kingdom and Leaders for their unalloyed support and contributions in one way or the other, making the Electioneering process hitch free. 

Barr. Sode profoundly lauded the Electoral Committee for their steadfastness and sacrifices in the course of the whole process.
He further promised to ensure an all inclusive government/administration irrespective of State, Party and community differences. In his words “I cannot succeed as an individual, therefore your guidance, directives and support will make this government achieve more “.

In the same vein Engr. Wisdom Maya, member of the Electoral committee thank Egbema Kingdom for giving them the honor to serve in the midst  of millions of Youths in the Kingdom. 

The ELECO also used the medium to announce that the inauguration of the new Executive will hold 17th of May 2025 while the Venue and time will be communicated to the general public in due course.
