Quick Response Squad Warri Holds Life-Touching End-of-Year Party, Officers’ Families Receive Cash Gifts and School Fees Support

Warri, Delta State — The Quick Response Squad (QRS) of the Delta State Police Command hosted its annual end-of-year party at the MOPOL Base along Ogunu Road, Warri, marking a colourful and emotionally uplifting celebration for police officers, their wives, and children.
The event brought together dignitaries and families who gathered to appreciate God’s protection over officers throughout 2025. The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and renewed hope.
The Commander of the Quick Response Squad, SP Achem Arrey Collins, who chief hosted the event, touched the hearts of many by distributing bags of rice to officers’ families and paying the 2026 three terms school fees for several police children. Many parents expressed emotional gratitude, noting that such welfare gestures are rare in the police system, where officers often spend long periods away from their families.
Adding to the goodwill, a dignitary present at the celebration also paid three terms’ school fees for additional officers’ children, a gesture widely applauded by attendees.
The event was further graced by respected senior officer, ACP Eyio, squadron commander a former DPO of B Division, Ebrumede Division, and Ovwian Division. Known for rebuilding or constructing police stations wherever he served, ACP Eyio’s presence added prestige to the occasion. Attendees praised him as one of the most dedicated officers in the state, and noted that SP Collins is already following the strong legacy he established within the Delta State Command. Officers of the Quick Response Squad described SP Achem Arrey Collins as “God-sent,” commending his compassion, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of personnel and their families.
The event featured vibrant entertainment, including dance competitions and children’s quiz sessions.
The best dancer received ₦50,000.
The best-performing child in the quiz segment also received a cash prize.
Wives of police officers who attended the event each went home with cash price,. The successful celebration left families encouraged and strengthened, closing the year on a memorable and impactful note for the Quick Response Squad, Warri.
