The Youth Leader of Egbema Kingdom and Arogbo Ijaw Ibe, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Kpilibuh Ogumaka, has joined millions across the Niger Delta and beyond to celebrate a foremost Niger Delta freedom fighter and peace advocate, High Chief Bibopere Ajube, popularly known as Shot Aside, on the occasion of his birthday, July 7th.
In his birthday goodwill message, Comrade Mingo described High Chief Ajube as a legendary figure, a true son of the Ijaw Nation, and a courageous leader whose sacrifices and patriotism continue to inspire generations.
High Chief Bibopere Ajube is not just a name; he is a symbol of resilience, hope, and progress for the Ijaw Nation and the entire Niger Delta. His bold sacrifices during the difficult moments of our struggle for justice, peace, and resource control cannot be forgotten. He placed his life on the line for the liberation of his people. For this, we owe him immense gratitude.”
He praised the High Chief’s unmatched efforts in bringing sustainable peace to the once-troubled waterways of Ondo State and his role in creating opportunities for ex-agitators, youths, and community leaders through capacity building and mentorship.
He didn't just fight; he rebuilt. He didn't just resist; he restored. He turned the pain of the past into a platform for hope and human development. Today, Arogbo Ijaw Ibe Kingdom shines brightly because of the visionary path he laid,” Mingo added.
The youth leader acknowledged that true leadership is not without trials and detractors but emphasized that Chief Ajube’s unshaken commitment to his people stands as a testament to his love for the Ijaw struggle.
Nobody is perfect, and building a peaceful and united community is not an easy journey. It comes with many obstacles, but you have stood firm. You remain one of the pillars of unity and progress in the Niger Delta.”
Comrade Mingo concluded by extending his best wishes “On this special occasion of your birthday anniversary, on behalf of my family, the comradeship community of Egbema Kingdom, and the Niger Delta youth across board, I celebrate you. We pray that God continues to bless you with strength, wisdom, and long life as you keep serving humanity and uplifting our region.”
