The Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationalities on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Spencer Okubo Okpoye, has joined political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across Delta State in celebrating the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Elder Omeni Sobotie, on the joyous occasion of his birthday anniversary.

In an elaborate congratulatory message issued today, Hon. Okpoye extolled Elder Sobotie as a seasoned politician, visionary strategist, and respected grassroots mobilizer whose wealth of experience continues to shape the political landscape of Delta State.

According to Hon. Okpoye, Elder Sobotie has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to building a strong, united APC family in Delta State while fostering inclusiveness and advancing the collective aspirations of party members. He described the APC chairman as “an iconic and motivational leader whose humility, courage, and dedication to service inspire the younger generation of politicians to embrace leadership founded on integrity and sacrifice.”

“Elder Omeni Sobotie’s leadership style reflects a rare blend of wisdom and compassion. He remains a man of the people whose voice carries hope and direction for both the APC and Delta State at large,” Okpoye said.

The DESOPADEC Commissioner prayed for God to grant Elder Sobotie long life, sound health, and greater strength to continue rendering selfless service to humanity, noting that his political stewardship has already left a legacy of excellence.

“As you mark another milestone today, may your life be filled with divine favour, renewed strength, and the fulfillment of your heart’s desires,” Okpoye added.
