Rain of Bank Alerts as NDDC Begins Monthly Payment for Niger Delta Youth Internship Scheme, Captures 550 Beneficiaries in Edo,
By EgbemaVoice,
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commenced the disbursement of monthly stipends of N50,000 to thousands of indigenous youths from the Niger Delta region under its Youth Internship Scheme. This initiative aims to empower young people in the region by providing them with hands-on skills training and practical experience in various organizations.
A transparent selection process was used to choose the beneficiaries, with consideration given to applicants from the nine states in the Niger Delta region. Beneficiaries will undergo a 12-month training program, gaining practical experience in various organizations. The scheme aims to create a lasting impact and foster a brighter future for the beneficiaries.
The Edo State Representative on the Board of the Commission Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowieren has admonished the 550 youths selected for the scheme from Edo to make maximum use of the scheme to enhance their skills and improve their employability.
Aisowieren said the NDDC is committed to ensuring that this life-changing opportunity reaches the most deserving candidates as the Commission has partnered with KPMG, a global audit and consultancy firm, to strengthen its corporate governance framework.
He congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged other Niger Deltans to inquire, pursue and achieve opportunities in the several windows provided by the NDDC for human capital development across the region.
