By Egbemavoice
Niger Delta youth leader and National Secretary of the Ajakurama National Executive Council, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, has expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and entire people of Ajakurama Clan for their dedication, commitment, resilience, and sacrifices that contributed to the successful conclusion of the Warri Federal Constituency delineation exercise, which resulted in the approval of Asigborodor I, Asigborodor II, and Awanba Wards in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a statement personally signed by him, Comrade Mingo described the exercise as a historic victory for justice, equity, and democratic inclusion, noting that the outcome represents the restoration of the political rights of communities that had suffered decades of marginalization and underrepresentation.
He paid glowing tribute to the leadership of Ajakurama Clan for standing firmly with the people throughout the delineation process, particularly the National President of Ajakurama Clan (Edo and Delta States), Hon. Inos Miyen Mumbor; Ajakurama Community Chairman, Comrade Freedom Ajabowei; Ajakurama Youth Council President, Comrade Owei Ekpe; Hon. High Chief Powei Bainmine; Egbema Regency council Member and Head of the Egbema Traditional Council of Chiefs, High Chief David Reje Imole; High Chief Pastor Thomas Tikilikiwei; His Eminence Lucky Kenrenkenrenwei Ogeja King; CP Arotu B. Pere (Rtd.); Elder Roc Thikan (Rtd.); Chief Mrs. Juliet Kazeem Pukegha; Elder Patrick Obegh; Mr. Ikiyou Arubere, President of the Ajakurama Development Initiative (Ajakurama Voice); the Ajakurama united Brothe; Ajakurama Force Men and Women; and all Ajakurama communities in Delta State for their exceptional contributions toward the successful exercise.
He also recognized the immense contributions of Chief General Siemens Nisor Bekes, Chief Peres Ejune (Bainminipre of Ajakurama), Chief C. P Dekpen, Rev. R. Maya, Chief Stephen Okoro, Comrade Dr. Bright P. Maya, General Felix Idowu (Agbuke), General Nowei Sermon, Hon. Meshach Ogunyinbo, Hon. Emmanuel Kenren, Hon. Thikan Igirikpa, General Lukeluke Ojuemi, Hon. Nike Edah , Comr. Alex k. Ofeye Comr. Odimiyen Ekpe and many other patriotic sons and daughters of Ajakurama whose dedication ensured the success of the process.
Comrade Mingo noted that for several decades, Ajakurama communities endured political exclusion despite having one of the largest populations in Warri North Local Government Area. He lamented that many communities lacked polling units and were compelled to travel to Ogbinbiri to cast their votes, while political representation and development remained largely inaccessible.
He stressed that the people of Ajakurama had remained peaceful despite years of injustice and that the newly approved wards represent a long-awaited recognition of their constitutional rights and democratic aspirations.
According to him, although Ajakurama possesses the population and geographical spread to justify the creation of additional federal wards, the people wholeheartedly welcome the approval of Asigborodor I, Asigborodor II, and Awanba Wards as a significant milestone toward greater political participation and grassroots development.
Comrade Mingo further conveyed the appreciation of the Ajakurama people to the Federal Government of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for faithfully implementing the judgment of the Supreme Court and ensuring that justice prevailed through the delineation exercise.
He also reserved special appreciation for High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), describing him as a symbol of courage, unity, and selfless leadership whose relentless efforts and sacrifices greatly contributed to the realization of the newly created wards.
"The people of Ajakurama remain deeply grateful to High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) for his steadfast commitment to justice and fairness. His support and leadership have inspired hope among our people, and history will remember his role in this achievement," he stated.
Comrade Mingo concluded by applauding the unity, discipline, and cooperation demonstrated by Ajakurama elders, youths, women, community leaders, and stakeholders throughout the delineation process.
He urged the people to sustain the spirit of solidarity and peaceful coexistence while working collectively to ensure that the newly approved wards translate into accelerated development, effective representation, and lasting prosperity for Ajakurama communities, Egbema Kingdom, and the entire Warri Federal Constituency.
