In a bid to end the thirty two  (32) -year-old dispute over the Egbema kingdom’s parallel throne, the good people of Egbema kingdom cuts across Warri North, Ovia south west, Ikpoba Okha local Government Area of Delta and Edo states has finally selected Hon. Meshach Eseidogha Ubabiri, Ijaw national Congress (INC) Egbema chapter, chairman as the new monarch of Egbema kingdom, at the traditional headquarters of Egbema kingdom, Ajakurama town, Ovia south west LGA, Friday 11th,

According to the ruling house, they have made decision after several meetings, prayers, before picked Ambassador Meshach Eseidougha Ubabiri as their preferred candidate to ascend the kingdom’s traditional throne due to his lineage as a royal son from the ogbudugbudu royal house,  and to end the interregnum that had affected the kingdom to having a united Egbema kingdom,

Aside from unveiling, the Egbema Regency council and traditional council of chief and ogbudugbudu ruling house  hinted that they have also written to the department of state service (DSS) Delta state, commissioner for chieftain affair, local Government Area council,  Governor Dr. Sen. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, executive Governor of Delta,  Gov. Godwin Obaseki Executive Governor of Edo state, to inform them of their conclusions and for an official declaration of their preferred candidate for the throne.

The good people of Egbema kingdom unveiled His Royal Majesty Meshach Eseighotigha Ubabiri on Friday, after Ogbudugbudu ruling house presented a documents to indicate that Meshach Ubabiri was their preferred candidate and that he should be installed as the new monarch for the kingdom.

According to the Ogbudugbudu community, the decision was reached during a meeting that was also attended by elders of the ogbudugbudu community , principal members, youths, and community members that also threw their weight behind the decision reached by the community,

It was learnt that plans have also been concluded to commence the traditional rites for the new monarch of Egbema kingdom, as Egbema tradition demand,

The new monarch was unveiled during a Egbema general meeting, in the traditional headquarters of Egbema kingdom, Ajakurama town, attended by members of the four ruling house, Ajakurama, opuama, Bolou-Jamagie /Abadigbene and ogbudugbudu ruling house, as well as representatives from the nine principle clans, Ajakurama, Ofunama, Opuama, Bolou-Jamagie Abadigbene, Ogbudugbudu, Ogbinbiri, Abere, Jamagie II, and 
Gbeoba clan,  including the chairman of Egbema Regency council, Chief Johnbull adaun, 
Chief Taxe Agbaibor Acting chairman of Egbema Traditional council of chief,  High chief Tonghan Dauzuwo Amaokosuwei of Ajakurama town, Elder Edmond Tiemo chairman Egbema leader of thought (ELOT), high chief Matthew Tiemo, the oldest chief of Egbema kingdom, Egbema peace keeping force commander General Ezekiel Akpasibewei, former vice chairman of Warri North LGAs, Hon. Dio Tanga, Immediate past Warri North LGAs vice chairman, Hon. Sunny Abilo, Immediate past Egbema Gbaramatu communities development foundation chairman Amb Jude Ukori, Chief Godwin Kalakutu, General Ebipatei Kari CSO to GOC Government Ekpomupolo aka, Tompolo,  all the Egbesu priest and others Egbema prominent leader, 

'EgbemaVoice report that, Why Meshach Eseighotigha Ubabiri is most qualified to be king in Egbema Kingdom' Speaking to newsmen during the meeting in Ajakurama town, High chief Cyrus olopele stressed that Meshach Ubabiri selection was a unanimous decision of the ogbudugbudu ruling house in ogbudugbudu community and that the name was picked while scrutinizing all candidates shortlisted to assume the throne with the criteria of Pereship within the royal house,

He noted that the same agreement was reached earlier and formed the content of their meeting earlier in Ofunama town, on 24th August 2022, that ogbudugbudu community should follow the gazette to pick the Agadagba of Egbema kingdom, and it's the right and duty of Egbema Regency council to announce, install the king (Agadagba) of Egbema kingdom, strongly condemned the appointment of Barrister Napoleon Egin as sacrilegious to Egbema Traditional, and against the  gazette, unconstitutional, it is act of instigating segregation within Egbema people, added that those suspended chiefs chief David Bubor, Joseph Pipi Owilly, Simeon Igbedikrur, Williams Bilemo Igbiriki, Lucky Tiemo, Fidisegha Ebiegberi and others after several meetings refused to attend traditional council of chief meeting, have  finally and definitely suspended, urge the general public to disregard their comments, publication and letters, 

The secretary of Egbema traditional council Chief Cyrus Olopele and other members Traditional council of chief and Egbema kingdom general appealed to the government to consent to their chosen candidate and to quickly give him the staff of office.

Addressing Egbemavoice news after his unveiling, , Meshach Eseidougha Ubabiri the Agadagba of Egbema-designate, described his selection as a welcome development and what had been destined by God for him, saying I accept it and I am ready to serve the people of Egbema effectively.

He added that his selection was a call to serve the people and to ensure that peace return to Egbema kingdom, and  for progress of every individual irrespective of their status.

The newly elected candidate for the throne, meanwhile, said that his doors were open for collaboration on the development of the Egbema kingdom, adding that when installed, he would not administer the kingdom in isolation,
