...Says Attacks on Tantita Security Services Are Attacks on President Tinubu’s Second Term Agenda

A prominent leader of the oil-rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Ebiware Owolo, has thrown his full support behind High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, describing recent criticisms and attacks on Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited as not only unfounded but also a direct assault on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term ambition and the stability of the Nigerian economy.
In a strongly worded statement personally signed by Comrade Owolo and made available to the press, he applauded the efforts of Tompolo through his security firm, Tantita Security Services, for its patriotic role in protecting Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure, curbing illegal oil bunkering, and promoting peace in the Niger Delta region.
According to Comrade Owolo, Tantita Security Services has been instrumental in securing Nigeria’s oil assets, preventing environmental degradation caused by pipeline vandalism and illegal refineries, and saving the lives of countless Niger Deltans who were previously endangered by fire outbreaks and pollution caused by illegal bunkering activities.
He described the contribution of Tantita as “a major economic and environmental rescue mission,” highlighting that the work of the company has led to a significant reduction in oil theft, protection of aquatic life, and restoration of ecosystems devastated by years of unregulated criminal activities.
Tompolo, through Tantita, has saved our region and our people. The aquatic system, the ecosystem, and the economy of the Niger Delta are breathing again because of his intervention,” Owolo stated.
The Ogulagha leader did not mince words when addressing those behind the recent smear campaign and opposition to Tantita’s operations. He noted that these attacks are being orchestrated by individuals and groups desperate to continue their illegal oil bunkering operations, now disrupted by the success of Tantita’s security measures.
Let me be clear—those attacking High Chief Government Ekpemupolo are indirectly attacking the administration of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Tantita is one of the pillars holding up the economic reforms of this government, especially in the oil and gas sector,” he said.
This is not just about Tompolo. This is about sabotaging the economic revival plan of the President. It is about trying to destabilize the peace we are enjoying in the Niger Delta, and ultimately, it is a calculated move to derail President Tinubu’s second term agenda,” he added.
Comrade Owolo further praised Tantita for its impressive record in youth empowerment, job creation, and peace building in the Niger Delta. He pointed out that the company has provided direct employment to thousands of youths, women, and elders across various Niger Delta communities. These opportunities have greatly reduced youth restiveness and criminality in the region.
Tantita has built empowerment centers, organized skill acquisition programs, and trained our youths to serve as pipeline surveillance agents. These youths are now protecting what they once destroyed. Our waterways are safer. Our communities are more peaceful. This is what true leadership looks like,” Owolo remarked.
In closing, Comrade Ebiware Owolo called on all Niger Delta stakeholders—traditional rulers, community leaders, youth bodies, women organizations, and political leaders—to rise above politics and personal interest and support Tompolo and Tantita in the ongoing effort to rebuild the region.
We must not allow criminals to define our future. The Niger Delta has suffered enough. Tompolo has proven that change is possible. It is now up to us to rally behind him and defend the gains we have made,” he concluded.
He also appealed to the federal government and relevant stakeholders to continue supporting Tantita Security Services to ensure the sustained protection of Nigeria’s oil economy, adding that any attempt to undermine Tompolo’s efforts would be a setback not just for the Niger Delta, but for the entire country.
