AN APPEAL FOR PEACE, UNITY, AND COEXISTENCE IN WARRI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
My dear brothers and sisters of the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Delta State,
As an aspirant for the Warri North Constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly and a proud son of Egbema Kingdom, I make this heartfelt appeal to all our people to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding at this critical moment in our history.
The Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo peoples have coexisted for generations, sharing common aspirations and contributing immensely to the growth and development of Warri Federal Constituency and Delta State. Our diversity should be a source of strength and not a cause for division.
I therefore urge all our people to sheathe their swords and give peace a chance. We must not allow the ongoing discussions, disagreements, or concerns surrounding ward and unit delineation to divide us or destroy the bonds of brotherhood that have existed among our people for decades. Political and administrative processes come and go, but our shared future and collective prosperity remain paramount.
No issue is worth the loss of lives, destruction of property, or the breakdown of the peace we have worked so hard to maintain. Let us approach every challenge through dialogue, lawful engagement, and mutual respect, rather than hostility and confrontation.
I call on our traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organizations, women groups, political stakeholders, and all well-meaning sons and daughters of the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo nations to continue promoting peace and understanding in their respective communities.
Let us refuse to be used by those who seek to profit from division. Let us focus on our common interests, our shared heritage, and our collective development. The progress of Warri Federal Constituency depends on our ability to live together in peace and harmony.
As a son of Egbema Kingdom with ties and respect across ethnic lines, I remain committed to the ideals of justice, fairness, inclusiveness, and peaceful coexistence for all.
May peace reign in our communities, and may God continue to bless the Ijaw Nation, the Itsekiri Nation, the Urhobo Nation, Egbema Kingdom, Warri Federal Constituency, and Delta State.
Comr. Ugular Moses
Aspirant, Delta State House of Assembly
Warri North Constituency
