FINALLY THE OUTCOME OF THE DELINEATIONS WITH THE PRESIDENCY....
I am sorry , I actually made a video, but the Audio quality was too poor because I made it in a hurry, so tomorrow morning I will repeat it. But here is the Summary.
~WARRI SOUTH WEST ....FULLY SETTLED
~WARRI NORTH.......FULLY SETTLED.
~WARRI SOUTH......YET TO BE FULLY SETTLED, Negotiations still on going
~ URHOBOS to decide the outcome of Negotiations.
~ URHOBOS has a choice to either align with the Ijaws or ITSEKIRIS , for INEC to decide finally.
~ Chairmanship AND ALL POLITICAL POSITIONS including appointments and the house of rep to be ROTATED.
~ The only deadlock is the Number of wards... A compromised yet to be reached.
INEC CURRENT FINDINGS.
URHOBOS 9 WARDS
ITSEKIRIS 8 WARDS
IJAWS 3 WARDS.
This FINDINGS in Warri South has been rejected by URHOBOS and ITSEKIRIS, but accepted by the IJAWS
URHOBO Proposition:
URHOBOS 11 wards
ITSEKIRIS 8 WARDS
IJAWS 1 ward.
ITSEKIRI Proposition
URHOBOS 8 WARDS
ITSEKIRIS 12 wards
Ijaw 0 WARDS.
So a negotiation between the 3 tribes to reach a compromise is what is holding the Delineations.
As usual a compromise between any of the 2 tribes will carry weight and give a higher convincing value.
A more realistic position would be this
URHOBOS......10 wards
ITSEKIRIS..,....8 WARDS
IJAWS.............2 wards
So I think URHOBOS and IJAWS should consider this option.
As you can see the ITSEKIRI Proposition is not realistic, IT IS SATANIC AND OPPRESSIVE.
In THE final analysis ITSEKIRIS WILL ALSO BE THE ultimate loser, because the House of rep their only monopoly will now be ROTATED.
The Warri South Chairman will also be ROTATED.
Even Ijaws with their Population and higher number of wards in Warri South West/ Warri North constituency ( 21 to 19) , can choose not to rotate by picking an Ijaw candidate from an opposition party in the House of rep.
Similarly even if the Ijaws have just 2 wards, in Warri South an alliance with the URHOBOS can always give them the Chairmanship and the House or representatives
Dr Ejiro Imuere SUMMARY: If the 3 tribes fail to arrive at a common NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT, then the THE CURRENT INEC POSITION ABOVE WILL REMAIN AND BE IMPLEMENTED.
Because the President initially was only briefed that only Warri South West had issues, which he personally intervened.
The President directed that apart from the issue of the Warri South West which he has personally decided, the other issues should be bothered on POWER ROTATION and sharing.
So Power rotation and sharing is sacrosanct in the absence of a further negotiated settlements between the 3 tribes on the numbers of wards in Warri South LGA.
