NIGER DELTA YOUTH LEADER MINGO SAYAMI OGUMAKA SALUTES TOMPOLO OVER PEACE, SACRIFICES AND SUPPORT FOR WARRI DELINEATION EXERCISE

By EgbemaVoice News

The Niger Delta Youth Leader, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, has paid glowing tribute to the Niger Delta icon and renowned leader, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (JP), popularly known as Tompolo, for his sacrifices, commitment to peace, and unwavering support for the development of the Niger Delta region, particularly in relation to the recently concluded Warri Federal Constituency delineation exercise.

Speaking in a statement made available to journalists, Comrade Mingo described Tompolo as a living legend, a hero of the Niger Delta, and a symbol of selfless leadership whose contributions have continued to promote peace, stability, and development across the region.

According to him, the successful conclusion of the Supreme Court-ordered fresh delineation exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which resulted in the approval of new polling units, wards, and additional constituencies within the Warri Federal Constituency, represents a significant milestone for democratic representation and development in Delta State.
He noted that the exercise has strengthened political inclusion through the creation of additional wards, polling units, and constituencies, including the recognition of Warri North Constituency II, Warri South-West Constituency II, and Warri Federal Constituency II, thereby expanding opportunities for effective representation at both the state and federal levels.
Comrade Mingo stated that God has used Tompolo as an instrument of transformation in the Niger Delta, adding that his leadership has restored hope, promoted peace, empowered thousands of youths, and created employment opportunities for many across the region.

"High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo has demonstrated uncommon leadership and commitment to the welfare of the Niger Delta people. His contributions to peace-building, youth empowerment, and regional development remain invaluable and worthy of commendation," he said.
The youth leader further emphasized that the delineation exercise has brought significant developmental gains to the Warri Federal Constituency and should be viewed as a victory for democracy and fair representation rather than a source of conflict.

He urged all ethnic nationalities within the constituency, particularly the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo people, to continue to embrace peaceful coexistence and reject any attempts by individuals or groups seeking to create division and tension in the area.
According to him, sustainable peace remains essential for the continued growth and development of the Niger Delta region, stressing that the people must not allow external interests to exploit ethnic differences for personal gains.

Comrade Mingo maintained that the future of the Niger Delta depends on unity, cooperation, and collective commitment to development, adding that all stakeholders should focus on promoting harmony and protecting the interests of the region.

He also expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders, and legal teams from Egbema Kingdom, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Isaba Kingdom, and Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom for their sacrifices, resilience, and dedication throughout the legal and electoral processes that culminated in the successful implementation of the Supreme Court judgment.

He called on all well-meaning sons and daughters of the Niger Delta to continue supporting initiatives that promote peace, justice, development, and inclusive representation across the region.
"The Niger Delta belongs to all of us. Our collective responsibility is to protect the peace, strengthen unity, and work together for the progress and prosperity of our people," he concluded.

Signed:
Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka
Niger Delta Youth Leader
