The Ijaw National Congress (INC), Western Zone, has congratulated three Ijaw sons and one daughter on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), one of the highest honours in the Nigerian legal profession.
The Zonal Chairman, Priye Noel Kuete, LL.M, BL, conveyed the congratulations in a statement issued on behalf of himself, the Executive Committee of the INC Western Zone and the Ijaw people of Delta, Edo and Ondo States.
The new Senior Advocates are Dr. Eric K. Omare, Somina Peter Johnbull, Soibi Ideriah Ovia, and Igonikon Whyte-Adekunle.
Kuete said the recognition reflects their exceptional legal expertise, professional excellence, dedication to the advancement of justice and valuable contributions to the legal profession. According to him, the elevation is not only a personal achievement for each of them but also a source of immense pride and inspiration to the entire Ijaw Nation.
"As proud sons and daughter of the Ijaw ethnic nationality, your accomplishments demonstrate that our people continue to make remarkable strides in the pursuit of excellence, leadership and service to humanity," he said.
The INC Western Zone chairman added that the four lawyers have further strengthened the visibility and reputation of the Ijaw Nation within Nigeria's legal community and beyond.
